Its better to send your courier 1 week in advance although DHL promises to deliever in 4 days(and they do as well ) but still in such a critical case you don't want to take any unwanted risks....

I recently submitted the initial deposit of CDN $ 3000 for securing the seat. When I received the mail from college upon receipt of my bank draft, they mentioned that the Program Services Office is currently working on the curriculum for 2012 and will communicate in February (welcome package, access to the pre-program portal and much more!).

I wanted to know if anyone(who has paid the initial deposit) has got the welcome package. If not then I guess the adcom will be sending all the details to everyone in Feb only when they are ready with the new curriculum. Correct me if I am wrong. On contrary to this, if anyone of you has got the welcome package then I request you to kindly let me know your contact details via pm as I wanted to get some info from the package.

I guess we would be getting Welcome Package and access to R world once we pay the initial deposit of 3000 CAD $. For me, I am yet to do that and will be doing the same in a couple of days time. Let me know if my understanding is wrong on this.

Also if somebody finds any link on Schulich website to connect to current students then please share the same as well. Rotman has link to connect to MBA Ambassadors(current students) but I couldn't locate any such option on Schulich's website. If anybody finds the same then please share.

Even I was surprised when at the end of the intv Adcom told me that you will receive the admit mail shortly and it actually did come .

As you said, we get 20L loan from Rotman but still we need to pay that back as well its not that they are offering it for free :biggrin:. So financially its still a burden for me.

Please enter the details in that excel sheet so that we can keep track of folks applying for Schulich.. Surprisingly, not many have considered Schulich yet I guess.
I was also thinking of creating an FB page only for the admitted students.

Regarding Rotman vs Schulich,
I have given the interview for Rotman and expecting an admit. But,its not only the finances that are pushing me away,but also the rigorous competitive environment and the sole finance focus. Nevertheless, the quality of students and education is better in Rotman I think. So, it all depends on the fit. Schulich is always ranked close to Rotman and one of the top 4 in Canada. More branding in India and globally as well. The curriculum has many options to chose from and the placements are also on par. I am in very nascent stages of gathering information, so need to talk to more alumni to gather further info.
Regarding the finances, Schulich Tuition fees 30L, Average spending in Toronto(staying outside the campus) 10L so it should be 40L at max. Rotman Tuition fees 50L + 10L spending = 60L. But remember, in Rotman you get a 20L loan from school, effectively that will make the fees aspect the same. :-)
