I had a query, hope the seniors can guide me...

I hv secured admission in the MMS course.

When I had shown work ex certs at the ARC for verification, I had only shown 2 companies which I thought would help in getting the required marks. Though I worked for abt 3 months after that in another co.

Now, i have to submit the Gap cert. In the affidavit, Will I hv to show that I was working at that latest co. as well. If I do, will I also hv to provide the college with docs like relieving letter, etc?

I have a State rank of 350, Mumbai univ., Open Category.
Can any of the seniors guide me as to where I can expect to get admission?
Its really depressing when even after getting a 99.28%ile, I cant get into the top 4 colleges...

With this rank you dont have any real chance of making into top 5 Colleges.

In my opinion you should wait for the Final Merit list to come out. Your rank might get improved by 20-30 ranks.

Hi puys!

I had my GDPI at Vishwakarma Institute, Pune, 11 am batch. The entire process took 1 hour. Very organised.

I rchd around 10.15. They gave us the candidate profile form at 10.30.

Then GD around 11.05. 9 ppl in the group. 3 moderators.
Topics were:

1. Will foreign universities outshine Indian education houses?
   
2. Will individual attention in schools reduce the number of drop-outs? (Or something along those lines. Don't remember exactly since everyone selected the 1st topic)

We were given 2 mins to jot down our points. No fish market scenario. Everyone got a chance to speak. A couple of them barely spoke. At the end of it, the mods asked each of us to conclude.

Then PI. 2 interviewers. Was very nervous as I cud directly see into the room from where I was awaiting my turn. I heard the interviewer grilling the guy before me quite a bit. He was quite loud abt why he's written stuff on his form that he cant justify. I was fully prepared with all my answers, justifications etc.

PI started off with questions on work ex. They asked me if I knew anything abt reverse mortgages. Explained the concept to them. They seemed quite happy that I knew abt it.
After that, all questions were very general in nature, concerning work ethics, work culture etc.
No GK, no current affairs, nothing of the sort.

All in all, a decent GD & PI, I think.

Now all I can do is wait for the scores, I guess.

Hi!

I had my GDPI at CRISIL house @ 2pm today. 6 ppl attended the GD(out of a total of 11, I think)
GD topic was "Should all higher education be subsidized?"
GD was pretty peaceful. Stress is on content & communication skills. Negative marking for not giving others a chance to speak.
We spoke for abt 10-15 mins & when it looked like we had nothing new to add, they asked us to stop.
The shocker was the ex-tempore round. Each person was given a topic & asked to speak on it for abt 30 secs. Again, content & comm skills.
Some of the topics were:
* Plastic money & its impact on economy
* Business & ethics
* Today's youth care more for money than a career
* Cricket is killing other sports in India
Cant remember the rest.

PI lasted for abt 15 mins. Questions based on acads, work ex (if any) & the current happenings. I was asked abt inflation, reasons for it, etc etc...
