You can check out The story of philosophy by Will Durant. There are nine chapters each focused on one philosopher, and two more chapters each containing briefer profiles of three early 20th century philosophers. There are ideas by top Philosophers like Plato, Aristotle, Francis Bacon , Voltaire etc.

Check it out. Good read if you have the patience.

can u pls recommend a good book for quants n DI...

Best way is to get your basics right. Be it from Time CL, IMS or whatever material. Arun Sharma has seperate books for both quant and DI and is pretty decent.

Main thing is practice a lot of old mock cat papers from various coaching institutes for quant and DI.

hey can any 1 give some tips and names of some websites for DI (involving tables and charts and other calculations)?? am quite good in LR but this DI worries me a lot....
