Do NMIMs ppl send some email confirmation after submitting the draft?
I haven't received any sort of confirmation from NMIMs ..plz reply..I paid my fee on 27th march..

You can call the admin office after 2 weeks you have sent your draft and they will let you know.

The chances are really low to be frank. The final convert for MBA Core hasn't crossed 650 for the past 3 years that i have seen.

Its your decision totally depending on whether you want to pursue a career in Capital Markets or not.
What i can say is that with 9 months of work ex. you'll be not considered a fresher and when compared to people with work ex. they'll have more to write and talk about it during the interviews . So it would be good if you carry on you work and atleast reach 15-20 months if you are not pretty sure what Capital markets is and where you will land up after 2 years as a MBA in CM.

With a 3 year cover u r entitled to 8% discount based on the following -

All Central Govt Employees and not for the state ones.

For corporates its available for some 43 companies that are in their list.Just call any dell representative and tell him your company and ask if you can avail discount for that or not.

Thirdly for students its not for all colleges ..the ones i know are
NITs , IITs , IIMs , NMIMS , ISB etc.

why HP g42 and g62 series are less popular than dv6 series. Is there any problem with g series...

One question: Is Laptop really necessary for MBA purpose?? I mean all that is required (as far as I understand considering my requirement) is MS office, net surfing and entertainment (which for me is limited to movies and songs, I dont like gaming). So considering these requirements I feel portability & battery life are the most important considerations as not much processing power is required for these purposes. So wont a netbook/notebook suffice or I am missing something?
Also any suggestions about netbooks/notebooks? What configuration, brands etc.

P.S.: Ofcourse everything depends on one's personal choice and requirement. All I want to know is that is there anything that I have not taken into consideration.

A netbook will definitely suffice . Laptops are 90% used for entertainment (which is majorly movies ,TV series etc) and you hardly get time to play Games once ur in MBA college .Rest its only MS office that you would be using for making reports and presentations.

But there may be instances when you may be required to use softwares like Adobe Photoshop , SPSS(for marketing guys) etc which may not work well in the most basic processor.So keeping that in mind and playing a safe move atleast look for a decent processor viz . dual core and atleast 2GB of RAM. And you can get such configs in netbooks also .

And if you are not into creatives and all ...so u wont be requiring these heavy softwares at all just like me...so no need for dual core as well but do go for maximum RAM as possible.

Whats the approx cost to extend DELL's 1 year complete cover after 1 year cover gets over ? Mine got over last week so thinking of renewing the same.

Well I was thinking between Dell Inspirion and Lenovo G570....I preferred lenovo for few reasons: 1) HDD 640 GB vs 500 GB...2) 2nd generation I3 processor vs 1st generation I3 processor...3) Freebies...4) Overall pricing of 33900/- vs 36900.../-..or was it 38900/- I dont remember exactly but was costlier....I bought it from Reliance digital here at Hyderabad....wud need to keep the bill safe to include the same in Ed Loan which I propose to take...
Bought Lenova, G570...it has 2nd generation I3 processor, 640 GB HDD, 15.6" monitor, 3 GB Ram, and almost all the specs (that was recommended)....If you go byreco specs: then what is not there: it says better to have 7200 RPM sata drive, bu...t this one has 5400RPM only.....it says better to have dual layer DVD drive, this has a single layer drive only....As per me both of these are not a major hurdle....considering the price and freebies that I got for: 33900/- (all inclusive) but free accessories(3000/-)+Backpack (2500/-) gets the perceived pricing to 28400/-only....with Win 7 H installed....:-)

See.. the only differentiating facor between any company and dell is the complete cover scheme under Dell . If you dont want that and prefer accessories over this u then go for lennovo because performance wise thay will be more or less the same.Dont go for HP though .
