Finally got the confirmation mail for IM..

tday just called up the xlri admissions office nd got the shock of my life...

i asked him now tat my chances r almost nill(wl-99 pmir) when would u send me the dd bak?

he asked to me to wait for a while..discussed with ppl there nd was like check your mail once today nd call bak tom!...

i could not believe wat he was tellin..according to him i still had chances..wtf...i still cant believe all this is true...

so..wat this means is tat in pmir atleast u can def expect some movement..nd hopefully today...if not he would have bluntly told me tat he would be sendin the dd bak...

I am WL 80 in BM and called up the XL office before paying the fees for SP Jain. The guy asked me to wait till today and asked me to check my mails.."If anything has to happen, it will happen today". From tomorrow onwards they will start sending the drafts back and we will get it within one week. Keeping my fingers crossed.. Will wait till today

Can anyone tell me how many days will we have from the day we get an offer, to pay the fees to confirm admission. Also how much amount do we need to pay ?

Are they not going to issue final admission confirmation after receiving the dd from confirmed candidates ?

Will we be receiving any acknowledgment of the initial fees payment ? I mean apart from confirming over phone, will they be sending any formal acknowledgment ?

Tech bhai ke posts dekhne ke baad mujhse raha nahi gaya.So here are my analysis:-

1) PMIR WL junta :- as assassin rightly pointed out ppl within 70 shud be rest assured.Badi waali Wl movement is expected.Is baar common calls zyada dikhayi de rahi hain.According to my analysis arnd 50 shud clear within April only while the rest shud get carried on to May.

2) BM WL junta :- Starting se hi keh raha tha.Is baar kuch itna bhi zyada kharab result nahi raha hai CAT ka.Junta kaafi calls laayi hain.C ke results ke baad hi kaafi WL movement dikh rahi hai and I am constantly updating the sheet with ppl I find out about who might not be taking up XL ( woh FMS waali junta and B waale log were added by me my visiting the tracker of FMS ). Again arnd 70 keh sakte hain safely.

yeh modera_tor ki sahi mein XL call convert hain ya is thread pe aakar macha raha hai.Agar iski Xl ki calls nahi hui na to IIM C ki WL bhi ek se move ho jaayegi

Yaar tum log 70 bolte ho aur meri jaan nikal jati hai yaha. I am wait listed at 80 for Bm and have some hope since the day i heard that last year it went till 77.

Send a cover letter with the draft details, your xat id and course. Also you can mention your choice of hostel room in the letter.
