Hi everyone... Been a long time... Congrats to Kapil and Arun for converting VGSOM... Saw a nice placement report...Congrats to seniors for that... A small query...actually trying to apply for an educational loan. The bank demands fees structure for that. So can I get the same now or would get that only after joining...(after the registration process)?

I am here with my expectations from our seniors and IIT R.

Though it is said that the less expectations we have, the less pain we feel. I believe that is complete looser talk. If we do not have dreams, we are as good as dead.

So here it goes...
Firstly, I hope that DOMS has a cricket team. Just love cricket(both playing and watching the game...)

Next , I was browsing through the Life @ IIT R thread and saw a sporting event Spornado there where student of DOMS of various IITs compete. But sadly haven't heard anything about this from our seniors.

Thirdly as somebody pointed out, would really like to know more about our professors.

Participating in different B schools competition is something that I also want to do. Would be fun to not have a skewed ratio for once...:)

One more thing that comes to my mind is forming some kind of a finance club @ DOMS. Was Browsing PG and in one of the threads , saw IIM L guys investing in stock markets through their finance club. Something same would give us great exposure and more importantly some technical details about how to get started. But this would require collaboration of my batch mates as well as seniors!...

I wish to go on, but the thing is I am an engineer and they are just lazy...

Thrilled absolutely....

Just awesome on the part of IIT R to actually converts the seats, something they would have done eventually.
Also , they said that the list would be published on Wednesday, but did it on Tuesday,Under promise and over delivery. Great that I will be learning management from this place.

P.S.: Will be waiting again, but this time to join IIT R

So the wait continues...till Wednesday...Though I personally feel that I would have to wait for next list to make it through(gen category rank 103..).

On a more serious note, Its very good to see active participation from the junta. I believe that the transparency in admission process, among other things has contributed a lot in IIT R's continuously growing reputation as a B school. We have plenty of examples where B schools operate like CIA during the admission process.

This openness is admission process as well as frank interaction by seniors has made me believe that IIT R is a good choice. In fact that dilemma whether to go for another CAT was also haunting me. After all, I am also a fresher. Though the fact that your work -ex really gives an extra leverage only when you are opting for the same field(like an IT guy going again for IT)as discussed on some other thread on pg also played a big part.If I join a marketing firm after two years in IT, I'll be treated as a fresher.

So If and when I convert.I'll surely join IIT R.
