The one question a lot of people have asked us about the next-generation PaGaLGuY is: What happens to Private Messages (PMs)? Do they stay or go?

I have two exciting updates to share in our re-imagined PM feature on PaGaLGuY.

First, that there will be no limits to PM inboxes in the new PaGaLGuY. Whether you are a newbie or a moderator, you get unlimited PM facility. Regular puys who use the PM feature in the existing PaGaLGuY extensively and find the limit crippling will love this update.

The second and the more exciting update about PMs on the new PaGaLGuY is this.

PMs now incorporate live updation. Which means that your PM doubles up as Chat. Replies to your PM will appear instantly in your PM page and be live updated without you having to refresh the page.

But here's the cool part. Instead of just two users, if there are many people included in a PM conversation, they can all be logged in at the same time and use the PM facility as a Group Chat.

We're in the final stages of switching over to the new PaGaLGuY, and will make the transition in a couple of days. We'll give you a heads up one day before the transition!
