also the hobbies should b such that they can blossom in 4-6mnths(some can even be quick fixed in 2mnths).so,plz chip in with the uncommon hobby u have heard of.

actually indepth studies of hobbies itself a big task...
a guy spent 3 months in advance to prepare n develop snooker as his hobby, he knew ins-n-out of it n when he went for his iim interview they asked whts ur hobby he said the same n the very first question was "in how many days a pool table cleaned" n tht guy was jus F**** up n he thought how can't he ans such a simple question n in reflex he said every week, in return they said "we knew its every day" n tht guy in reply "might b sir..." n tht was it they figured out tht it was a fake hobby 
actually, u can clean it whenever u like !!

i think we had an old hobby tread , which had queer hobbies.someone had said about treking and guitar etc.
i think reading is a dangerous thing to say.i have read 4-5 p.g wodehouse(not jeeves),i love it .buttt if i say p.g.wodehouse,i must have to read his each and every novel(i don't even know how many 
) cause they will get inside the book and there is no surety that they had read the same books.

same with me. Trek jargons.. there really are none! lets see.. tent, torch, sleeping bag, baked beans, glucose.. thats it ;).. i mean you arent talking abt mountaineering, where you'd have to know how a rope is hooked into a carabiner and stuff.. just simple trekking :).
dont know much abt many famous mountaineers/trekkers or for that matter when hillary made it to everest. but ask me how to get 8 people to trek 60kms to some goddammed high altitude safely & merrily and no problemo

its none of my damn business, i simply but on the beatles and enjoy their songs. now whats wrong in that? cant i really really like Sting without knowing how much has yoga enhanced his staying power (which he blabbered abt in an interview)

i myself like metallica, i like nirvana, i like their songs, if i am in the right mood. hell i care that the drummer does his thing topless. i simply start thier song and gratify my musical desires. whats wrong in not knowing the middle name of james? wud that change the way i perceive their music?
i know everyone says this and everyone does it, naturally or unnaturally to develop a hobby and be consummate at it. but why the hell? why cant life be simple and enjoyable the way u wanna enjoy?

They told him that a hobby is not something that you do to pass time. It's something you are apssionate about and therefore something you shold know about. The point being that a hobby is something that you should necessarily know about. Not something you just do once in a while to chill out or relax but something that you enjoy and make time for. That's wh ythe intense scrutiny on hobbies.
