PoH -Origins

PoH -Second calling (PoH II)

Third time Lucky (PoH III)

Fourth Time's the charm (PoH IV)

Eclipse (PoH V)

The PoH thread was legendary on Pagalguy, and its reputation drew people from across the forums. It was also one of the foremost threads ever hosted, and acquired a Cult following that did its status justice. However, the Sands of time accumulated on it as it was forgotten and reduced to a shadow of its former self.

This endeavor is an honest attempt to bring that same level of camaraderie that I experienced when I first joined this website.

But....

Seeing the recent spate of all other threads in the Chit-chat section, Spam will be frowned upon. I don't have moderator status, nor have I spoken to any Mod on actively regulating this thread. But I assure you, I will take an active interest in getting any unwanted and unrelated crap removed ASAP. It may be tiresome, but I hope people learn with the flow of things.

Also, I quote @puri.pallavi's original thread rules(with a few edits to make them more relevant in today's scenario):

1. ONLY one question a day. Mention Date and put the question.

2. All cheesy questions will find their way out.

3. Any newbie who falters in the rules, will be sent a PM with the rules re-iterated.

4. A user shall not post more than once a week. If there is a lull in the flow of questions, he/she might do so with permission from other members.

5. Anyone who wishes to share his/her happiness shall keep the topic as "My 2 cents".

6. All crappy questions shall be removed without intimating the user.

7. No personal attacks.

8. No ill treatment of the fairer gender.

9. No suggestive posts

10. No double meaning posts

11. No slang

12. No posts where you mention a person's name who is or is not on PG as he/she might not like it. In case you are sure they will not be bothered, feel free to use. Mods should not get complaints from the person mentioned in the post.

13. Regulars to the thread, please make this post "favorite" to keep for ready reference to give to noobs.

14. Let us try not to divulge dirty details of our life. Somethings are better left un-shared with the masses.

And we have some additions!

15. Each time you post a question, disable comments on the post so that it discourages people from giving their answers then and there. Use the settings icon below your post.

Make sure you 'quote and reply' to the question.

16. No Karma-hoarders here. If I see one "please give me karma", there will be a special place reserved in Hell for you! 😠

17. Click on the "Notifications : OFF" icon on the top left corner, so you don't miss any questions.

Let's make this happen people. Let's laugh, cry, sulk, blush and boogie together!

Let's usher in a New Dawn...

P.S: I shall be intermittently tagging a few folks who may want to post on this thread. if you don't like it, please do not involve the female members of my family in the conversations! 😲

A simple PM saying "No more tags" will suffice!

Chalo, first answer hoga mera!

I feel this is a tremendous breach of trust. People who work for something, alone know how they have toiled and what they have gone through in the process. The least one can do is give credit.

And this is in my opinion, because I am a creature of praise. So, if you take my credit, you take my everything!

On the other hand brixcelwa, @sabrinakhan ko ek-squeeze karde. She is Ghajni ki amma...

I used to feel a bit dissapointed in the past, nowadays have learned to live my life without expectations.😐

To be frank.. I just ignore.. Its because I know what I did/am capable of. And whether people forget to mention you or not doesn't matter much as your talents and skills are not unseen. They will be duely noticed/rewarded in due course of time !! 😛 :mg:

#Active after long.. Missed using the PG Smileys.. 😞
No other smileys are as good as these are :mg: :mg:

Yes i have been in these situations many a times at work. Initially i felt dejected.
But not any more.
I believe sooner or later people do realise the worthiness of individuals.
And once that happens, Admiration flows. 😃

It feels extremely disappointing,
But later I feel like doing something BIG
and prove them that I deserve better things than their credits.

To be frank, such things rarely happen with me :mg: lucky me :mg: People don't forget to give credits lookround

I start crying when in rarest case I don't get it 😐 and I ask them to rectify their mistake 😛 At times I warn them "Look no credit=no good work from my side 😉" :splat: Simple!

It Really Hurts at first instance😟....Kyoki Every human being wants to be appreciated for his/her efforts😃 but We can't/shouln't have hard feelings on this 250 grm heart(if this happens)......One should keep putting one's good efforts in the belief sooner or later one's true value will come into real picture🍻mg

Well, it kinda depends on the situation, or on the state of mind i am in, at that moment...certain times i don't mind...even if the person has not given me the credit, i let it pass...

mujhe lagta h - theek h yr, nae lia naam, koi baat nae...uske ek baar naam na lene se mere upar koi effect nae padega...

Also, the thing is that people usually know when i have chipped in for something...they acknowledge my part in a venture - so formally even if i am not named, it doesn't bother me a lot...

on the contrary, the person not taking my name has faced flak in some situations by the peer group 😁 😁 :D...so i guess that makes things even 😛

It doesn't affect me a lot. I read/listen somewhere "Building banane ke baad khud ke naam se jani jati h na ki Banane wale ke naam se" But can't deny that somewhere it hurts not being a part of that Venture. Human nature but can't help p

I have faced such situation couple of times and mostly during professional career. It feels disheartening and disappointing that your efforts had been sidelined. But with time I had learnt the way to tackle such situations.... simply ignore 😃 #nirvana

In general I won't react...

However I would react, If somebody comes and ask for me a favour and later he completely forgets about it when it is his turn to return the favour...

I would normally recall those highs of my life and take inspiration from that. e.g. I won a sports quiz competition for my college(beating other 29 colleges of that university) when i was in Inter first year(at the age of 14), that too defeating the arch rival college of ours. And the joy was compounded by the fact that it all boiled down to the last question which i answered correctly to win the title for my college.
This is one moment which always help me to bounce back, when i am down & out. Even at that time, everyone doubted my abilities going by my age, but since i got selected through an internal competition, only my coach had a full faith on me. And i can't explain you the joy in my coach's eye, when we won that title.
