One senior posted this regarding hostel rooms -

Mumbai - the city with space-crunch. There will be four people in one room. the room is not that spacious but as I said, it's Mumbai, so you will have to compromise. I don't think they will be offering residential flats. I know they have mentioned it on their site, but same was the case last year, and I don't remember anyone being offered that.

Come, have a look and make an informed decision.

Dont know if same applies to girls hostel as well

frm seniors n other sources,, v hv cm to kno that hostels r nt dt good compared to wat NMIMS charges fr that. More than 1lpa without food... Its too mch fr a hostel. Nd yes, 4 people in 1 room..
Bt still, its ur personal choice, cz being a girl, a hostel is more comfortable. Not many girls choose to stay outside, while most of d guys choose to stay in rented flats.. 😃

Guys... The place is ville parle, the average rent for 1 BHK is 15-18K, So it boils down to almost 8 per head if we plan to share a room with one more person (2 in one room)..
My friends have a room in Mahim which costs them 20K per month plus 2 Lac as security deposit..
Mumbai is a place where the rents are too high and deposits are always a problem..

No connection with NMIMS..but i hail from mumbai and i guess NM has a good girls hostel..dunno what they have for guys though.. :lookround:

being a mumbaikar i wud like to tell u 1 thing though.. "adjust" is the name of the game in mumbai..if u want reasonably priced accomodation, you'll have to adjust one way or the other (either distance from college or the number of ppl in the house).. unless u r lucky enuf to strike an amazing deal...:)

PS: the girls hostle is near Amitabh Bachchan's bungalow. So all u AB, junior AB and Ash fans would have a great time..
