And for those who don't know what it is; TAS stands for Tata Administrative services. Every year Tata's recruit their future leaders through TAS by two channels; one by going to top B schools which esentially include IIMs & second by an inhouse process through which they take their bright internal employees

we welcome to the TAS 2011 forum.. hope u guys are doing well. well there does not seem to be much happening as everybody might be waiting for January 31, 2010. I m one of you.. lets stay in touch and will discuss what is happening ..

The website has been launched today mrning and like last year the cut off would be declared on March 20

@Jia:
All I can see at www.tas-inhouse.com is a page with a couple of quotes on it.
I don't see any notification about dates or elligibility criteria.

Hi Taspirant

On the website there are three links criteria, cut off anf regsitration after the quotes from JRD TATA also the in FAQs the detail process is listed you can check.
The registrtaion process starts from February 1, 2011 ends on March 18, 2010 and on March 20 cut off would be declared post that By 25th March submit teh form to your HR spoc on April 10th the shortlist will come and post that further process starts

I think this year they have not declared any end date for registration. I recollect last year it was 18th march but this year no such date is mentioned on website.

@ NIkhil The end dat eof registyration is mentioned as a part of selection process as a part of FAQs . everything is same as that of last year.

I am in the race too. I work for TCS currently based out of minneapolis,USA. Have 5.5 years of Work-Ex and this is the last possible attempt for me, considering that i become ineligible due to Age factor.

Share your profile as well.

Can Somebody share the complete process from the point of view of selection. Like last years cut off and profiles they generally pick?

Thank God finally there seems to be some activity going on.. Hi Grail seeeker same is the case withme..@ akgarg as far as the selection process goes last year cut off was 650 and profile is a general.. they are not particular or keen for some prfiles but expects flexibility and leadership qualities ...

Last year about there were about 6 final selects, but none from TCS (though TCS represented the vast majority of the applicants). They are not looking for a specific profile obviously, but to really stand out it helps to be unique.

I have an interesting query

I sent a mail to TAS but no reply

I will have 5.5 yrs of work experience but 1 yr 10 months exp in a Tata company

so if I apply this year I do not meet one criteria ie. 2 yrs min in Tata Company

and if I apply next year I do not meet second criteria ie. 6 yrs exp ( i wil have 6.5 yrs)

What should I do?

As far as work ex is concerned when are you completing this 2 years ? you can apply for the process because you require two years rating . as you have mentioned that you are 1 years and 10 months old in Tata group that implies your exp of two years would be completed by April ..So i hope you can take a try.
