Hello all,

Finally getting the privilege to post here....

Nice initaitive Abhishek brother..

Just wanted to share that,

"DIPLOMA IN BANKING & FINANCE" is also known as JAIIB and once you take an entry in bank you can convert your DIPLOMA IN JAIIB... and

After clearing JAIIB, there is 1 increment that u get, then
After clearing CAIIB , you get 2 increments...

So total 3 increments for JAIIB + CAIIB

Previously the people who were working in banks used to call them

CAIIB PART 1 & 2.. but now JAIIB has replaced CAIIB part 1....

The syllabus of DIBF/JAIIB is :

1. Principles & Practices of Banking
2. Accounting & Finance for Bankers
3. Legal & Regulatory Aspects of Banking

Apart from Macmillian books,

Follow Bank Quest & IIBF Vision :

Welcome to Indian Institute of Banking & Finance
Welcome to Indian Institute of Banking & Finance

@ lay_man, it will be objective type paper nd there is

NO NEGATIVE MARKING

I'm attaching some material which is very useful for the same....

PS: will keep editing this post....

Yup Bro noticed it , actually it was a typing mistake ( Striker bhai was the first one to spot the error and reported me) and I have requested the MOD's to help me. Will definitely do something..

Bro exam will be objective type na?

As LIG bhai has said it's naot an objective Paper but a descriptive one , moreover these materials ( Will post more) will help not only the DBF aspirants but also the PO aspirants , so that we can prepare for the GA sections and also for the Interviews...

Nothing can b said sufficient for any xam, the more u know the better it is...

Buddy I think NCFM courses are more Inclined towards Capital Market. Here is da link for the modules : http://www.nseindia.com/content/ncfm/ncfm_modules.htm

Whereas DBF is caters to the needs of day to day Banking operations....

However while browsing thru the NSE website a few days ago I found NCCMP , which I think is a really beutifully designed course for Capital Market beginners and is really comprehensive in nature. Here is the link http://www.nseindia.com/content/ncfm/ncfm_nccmp.htm

There will NOT be negative marking of wrong answers.

:to PG

Yup buddy , Dibloma in Banking and Finance (DBF) and all other courses and Programmes are very good , if U can manage to clear those before joining and Bank or Financial Institutes.

All the Courses of IIBF ( Which U can appear for ) are very good coz Banks prefer candidates having some Previous Banking Knowledge before Joining any Bank and it will definitely , give u an edge in the interviews and after joining the Bank.

Just go thru the syllabus of DBF U will come to know that its purely Based on Banking Operations and will b beneficial.

PS : Informal Sources claim soon banks would prefer DBF for PO's .:drinking:

Guys could you please tell me the last date to apply for the Diploma in Banking and finance and how to apply???

puys i am confused totally whether to apply for dbf or not coz many exams are already lined up in may n june should i go for nov/dec exam what to do plz some one help me out .

I wil appear for the dec xam but will start preparing for it after AAO xam coz :

1. Date clashing with IOB

2. Preparation time is less due to back to back PO xams.

3. There is some weitage given on ur score in da xam so will prepare well & crack it confidently in DEC.

4. Preparing for the Dec xam wil assist me to face interviews (If I get 1) as well as for GA+Banking awareness...
.
So this is my plan what do u'll say ?
