Who is a Certified Financial Planner?
>>A Certified Financial Planner is one who assimilates the aspirations of their clients and draws a road map to make them a reality and then guide them towards realizing them.

>>Certified Financial Planner CFPCM is an international certification program being conducted in the country by Financial Planning Standard Board (FPSB) India. Factually, the CFPCM mark is rated as the Gold Standard by the 'Wall Street Journal' and Personal Financial Planning is rated as the number 1 profession in 2001 and number 3 profession in 2003 in America by jobs Almanac based on factors like income, work environment, career outlook and security.

Curriculum of CFP Certification Program:cheerio:
The CFP certification is granted to those individuals who have demonstrated technical competency to create a comprehensive and detailed financial plan (as per international standards) for an individual. The certification covers six modules as follows:
Module 1: Introduction to Financial Planning.
Module 2: Risk Analysis and Insurance Planning.
Module 3: Retirement Planning and Employee Benefits.
Module 4: Investment Planning.
Module 5: Tax Planning and Estate Planning
Module 6: Advance financial planning
Duration
CFP is a flexible program which can be completed in minimum 3 months and maximum 1 year till a students registration is valid with FPSB, India.

Examinations for the certification are conducted after 60 days of their registration with FPSB, India at NSEs centers. Candidates are required to register online and book a seat for themselves in the exams at National Stock Exchange of India Ltd. {NSE India}

I would like to add..that first five modules mentioned aboved can be covered through self study or there are some approved education providers which can help.
Actual examination for CFP certification is last module(Advance financial planning).

When u pay the board fees @ 10,000 to the FPSB BOARD ...
Your locking period of 2 MONTHS START ..!!
tHEN AFTER 2 MONTHS( ROUGHLY) ... u are eligible to give any module from 2-5 ... through NSE / NCFM website ...
i went through the website it says we have to keep renewing our certificate every year after clearing (what exactly is the reason for this ) ??

Well .. I had already searched the internet but all in vain.
Didn't get any books & if founded one .that was not good..
Therefore , I decided to do CFP through a EDUCATION PROVIDER.
I have choose 'IIFP' for this..
They have given the material + workbook etc..
After MBA .. ur profile 'll definitely get enhanced. !!
About the job .. 'll let u now in some time.
thanks rishab.actually once while surfing through the net i read somewhere that after doing cfp we can specialise in any of the fields(modules).i want to specialise in investment.so i need to know whether can i get a job in any broking or research firm with the help of cfp.i know cfa would serve this purpose better but i also want to know wheter cfp would help me or not assuming that i'l pursue it in the 2nd yr of mba when i hve to choose finance as a specialisation.besides, as far as i know the job profiles of cfp are related or inclined towards marketing?is this the case?

yeaah i know about all these modules but they are good for knowledege but cant get you a good job though nowadays these hve become prerequisite to enter any broking firm but i am keen to know about cfp if this could help me in any way.moreover if u could tell me about the job profiles one get after cfp i would be very thnkful to you:)

When you are Registered with FPSB board , you have a option of Buying Books from the board @ 3,000 bucks ... 😁

I am planning to do CFP and I am thinking to go for a self study. I have 2.5 yrs exp in a wealth management company as a portfolio analyst
1.Is it advisable to go for self-study?
2. If it is ok to clear modules 2-5 doing self study, which is the best education provider for buying study material outright?
Else what r my options?

I am planning to do CFP after BBA.I don't want to do MBA ( its game over,MBA is not hot anymore)
My interest lies in stock market.
So can i get job in these sector just by doing CFP (& BBA).
If yes what kind of job can i expect and pay scale.
I don't care for salary.I just want to get in the industry.
Do you know any other course which can get me stock market related jobs.
