Hi Im9, well spjain does encourage people with 2+ years of experience. you can go through their web site understanding y they stress so much on work experience.

Good that this thread was started. I got an admit for November 2010 IBWM specialization but could not join at that time due to work requirements. . I deferred my intake to Apr batch and plan to join now.
Amongst the difference, the GMBA is a 1 year program that faces more exposure on the demand of the markets outside India, specifically focussing on Dubai/SG markets, which helps students land up in jobs in these regions.
It is still a respected degree in India because of the brand name of SPJ and quite a lot of placements happening for this dual program are based in India.
Can anyone share the placement details of the last batch?

Anything that could help get some idea for the type and level of difficulty in spjat exam.
The exam has 1 RC passage, 1 section of GK with about 10 true/false questions. 1 Quant section with about 10-15 problems, the questions in RC and Quant are pretty much GMAT level. .
The other sections include, Logic, Reasoning(not sure if it was named as this one in the exam) , these are on the lines of figures, complete the series. .
Negative marking is there for each section, but on different scales, like GK it is a high risk +1 and -2 , but it is lowers for others so be careful on that one.

I am working outside India and would like to know if there is possibility to have skype/telephonic interview if shortlisted. I have posted in the official admissions query thread...but just thought if anybody has any first hand info already!

One of them is scheduled for 19th December itself. . .M not sure if the registration are still open or not. But they do hold one more test, that will be sometime later. .
Last day to register for spjat is today,Dec 13. And the last date for receipt of payments (if PO/DD) is Dec 14 eod.

Hi Pratik, good to see this thread .I totally agree that the brand name of SPJ will be helpful for our placements .Like u , even I was selected for Nov, 10 batch but have deferred my intake to April 11 batch.
Do you have any information as to exactly when the course will start in April ? I will be quiitting my job and this info will really be helpful for me to decide the right time to quit.

The batch would be starting on 9th April and 11th April at DXB and SG respectively. So depending on your specialization, it will be one of the above. . m planning to resign in first week of March, which would give me just enough time to serve the one month notice. . .what specialization are you in?

Thanks for the info pratik, my specialization is IT. But are u sure abt the dates or they are tentative?? According to my spez i will be going to DUB first. I was not sure abt the dates that is y I confirmed from you.

Well I was told these dates by ADCOM, so I think these should be final, but if a shifting of dates has happened in the past, it could be possible that it happens again. .
