Also can anyone confirm that the deadline for sept 2011 keele full time is feb 1?

Thanks and Regards,

Dear Tanay,

I submitted the application online. I have applied for Winter 2011 but deferred my admission to Fall 2011.

I head there updating the online application form from October 15 probably that is the reason for you not able to see the updated application.

Currently I see winter being available.

Check in a weeks time

There is a great deal about Schulich on other Schulich threads... Recently ranked in the top 10 on the Economists Ranking of the top 100 world wide, Schulich is known for its global reach, diversity and innovative approach. Schulich has invested heavily in India. In 2010 we launched our MBA first year in Mumbai. Students start in January and year one in India and then come to Canada for year two. This is yet another of the innovations from the school. visit the web site: www.schulich.yorku.ca
Good luck with your investigations, and feel free to contact the school if you would like to meet with a current student....

Hi Charmaine,

Welcome to this thread. Thanks a lot for the information that you posted. I am applying for the 2011 fall intake for the full time MBA. I had a few queries :

1. How long does it usually take to hear feom the admissions committee after application submission?

2. Schulich MBA graduates are given a three year work permit post their MBA. Is this right? If so, are the students responsible for this or will the career office assist in procuring the work permit ?

3. What role does the GMAT score of a candidae play in getting a scholarship? I have a score of 710(46 Q 42 V 5.5 AWA) , First Class degree in Under-graduation, decent ectra-curriculars and will have a 46 month work-ex by september 2011. Am I eligible for scholarship ?

Looking forward to your reply.

Thanks and Regards,
Tanay

Hi there,
For the main campus programs we have two entry points a year September and January.
Admissions are done on a rolling basis and so if your file is complete, interview done and ready, than a decision is forth coming fairly quickly. The school recognizes that international students need to know to apply for student visa, and get their funding in order, so we do not delay.
In Canada, international students who do a two year Graduate program such as our MBA are eligible for a three year work permit at the conclusion of the degree. Students apply for this work permit as they are completing the last term of the degree. The process is quit straight forward and there are lots of people on campus to guide students in the process.
Timing of application becomes really important if you want to be considered for scholarships. We begin to offer scholarships in late February. So you must get your file in and completed before then to make sure you are part of the scholarship pool. Candidates chosen for scholarships are chosen for their academic excellence, their extra curricular activities etc. I would say your file would be one in the running.
If you want more detail about our process, contact the admissions team at Schulich.
Best of luck in all you do.

Hello,

I had applied to the Schulich Fall 2011 (full-time) MBA on the 18th of October but I haven't heard anything about the status of my application till now .I got the initial few generic emails and that was about it. How much time does it take for the school to review the application and reply?

Thanks.

Dear Abhi,

The school takes 4-6 weeks to reply back and set up a phone interview.

Currently I think they are busy with closing all the India MBA admits and also with the Winter 2011 Students.

Patience is the key.

cheers
aks

Hi Charmaine,

I am unable to start my application for the fall 2011 intake. It keeps displaying the following error message "You have attempted to access an application whose deadlines have all passed for this season." .

I had started the process on the 2010 application but had not submitted it as I was waiting for the 2011 application to start. Now that it has started I am unable to access the application.

Please tell me how to proceed in order to access the SEP 2011 application.

Thanks and Regards,
Tanay

Hi tanay...

I too faced the same problem on 1/2 November... Guess this was coz the application migration from 2010 to 2011 happened over this time... By now u shud be able to access the new application and enter details. however, u might have to upload any documents (resume/essays) that you have already uploaded prior to the migration. Also, if you have registered ur referees online, u might not see the list in the new application. I have had these confusions in ma appln :D

But i got confirmation from admissions office that the references once submitted will be matched to the new application and hence you need not do anything if u have already registered ur quota of referees. I have submitted my application today....

Hope this helps.
