Hi Puys,

Apologies fr the delay in replying, as I was completely held up with personal commitments.

Glad to see many aspirants for the Schulich School! I was admitted for an earlier session but deferred it to Fall 2012 due to personal reasons. Having said that, below is a snippet of my profile that might give some insight to u folks:
Work-ex: 5 yrs (at matriculation) in ERP consulting, w/ quite a few awards

Decent Acads
Good ECs

Feel free to ask your questions/doubts, and I shall try my best to answer them. Good luck! :)

Hi Inder9855,

Forgive me if I sound cliched, but the answer to your question lies in what you want study and finally, where you want to work i.e. Canada or Singapore.
Furthermore, from the schools you have shortlisted, you will have to weigh a 2 yr program vs a 1 yr, and see what suits your aspirations.

Wrt to your scores, I'd encourage you to take a look at the average scores at these schools. This will give you a rough idea on where you would stand.

Let me tell you that having a score (slightly) lower than the average score, does not put u at a disadvantage. There could be other parts of your application that might be truly exemplary and could make up for a lower score.

Hope this helps!

Good Luck,
Sandesh

Thanks maxmoju!
- I've just posted my profile above. Hope that gives you some insight.
- The i/v call will depend on when you submit your app. Say if you submit it closer to Xmas OR new year hols OR closer to Round 1 deadline, it would take longer to hear back from adcom for obvious reasons
- I hvnt hrd from them on any schols.. So, preparing for the entire cost.

Hi amitgupta2k,

I was admitted for an earlier session but deferred it to Fall'12 for personal reasons. In case you are applying to Schulich for Fall'12, try not to wait for the deadline and instead, work on completing it much earlier.

Thanks NidsMBA!

Guess you've started out with the Schulich application by now. Below is my profile:
Work-ex: 5 yrs (at matriculation) in ERP consulting, w/ quite a few awards
GMAT: 650, TOEFL: 111
Decent Acads
Good ECs

As for the turnaround time, it depends on when you submit your app. The school shuts down during X'mas/NewYrs and so might take time to get back to you. If you have already submitted your app by now, I believe you would hear from them before the vacations.

Good luck! 😃
Hi Sandeshnyk,

Congratulations !!
Can you elaborate on the admission process , and your interview ?

Thanks avikgt!

I believe the admissions process is pretty detailed on the portal, correct? Is there something specific that you are not sure how to go about?

Hi theMBAgirl,

I'd suggest you to take a look at the school's average scores to get a rough idea. Like I mentioned earlier, a slightly lower score (than the avg) does not imply that one is not in the running for an admit. If you have time in hand, you could try re-taking the GMAT, else focus on developing stellar essays that highlight other aspects of your profile viz personal/professional achievements.

From what I've read, heard, and researched, Schulich is a fantastic business school! Definitely a school one must aim for :)

Hi sandeshnyk,

I was just wondering , whether yours was a telephonic or not ? How many days after submitting your application were you contacted ? And how many days after your interview , were you given a confirmation ?
Basically a timeline

Hey all,
