I had a word with Pagalguy and he would be touching base in Mumbai in a few days. A great chance for the admitted students and the hopefuls to meet the guy behind the Monsier Greens and the Gronsier Meens


Probable Dates: 12th/13th/19th/20th May
Location : To be decided

So ppl from Mumbai/Pune/other places, drop in a line here, so that we could finalise on the date as well as the venue.

And now that pagalguy has received a schol from Wharton (http://www.pagalguy.com/discussions/life-at-the-wharton-school-univ-of-pennsylvania-the-pagal-reports-25017426), we could be in for a surprise treat as well.

Note: I know Allwin, we didnt discuss this. But still. 😃

Its a great idea to have one but the AIPGM is finalised for 26-27 weekend in mumbai itself 😃 so i feel this can be merged with that !!!

I agree that the audience would be higher on the chit chat section. But I guess that the active members on the Studies abroad/GMAT section are not frequent visitors to the chit chat section (infact very few of them even visit it). As it is, all the regular members in the CAT/other sections would be catching up with pagalguy in the All India PG Meet. Infact I might attend that as well.

This meet which we are planning, would be a chance for the abroad B school admitted students like me and for the hopefuls to spend some time with him (though everyone's invited 😃 ). And the idea of this came from his Wharton thread itself.

All said and done, if other interested guys are willing to club it with AIPGM, I am game for it.

merging it with AIPGM is not a bad idea. but this meet if designed specifically for admits and hopefuls, we can presume that all of us keep fairly well knowledge/info about basic stuff. and will have some advanced / specific queries.
on the other hand @AIPGM I can see all people asking general / basic questions like funding/ how to get a good reco... etc.
it'll eat our time. :(

AIPGM and agenda of this meet are way different. difficult to merge them both..lets see..PG are you reading this?

Guys, I am cool with AIPGM or a separate meet. Just that any other meet would work for me in Mumbai. I haven't setup my schedule for Pune yet. But that could happen sometime and I'll keep you updated. Whenever you guys want to meet in Mumbai, I will try to be around :)

Pagalguy, is this meet exclusive to only int'l MBA junta, or can int'l MS/MSc/MA people join in?

Guys, I am cool with AIPGM or a separate meet. Just that any other meet would work for me in Mumbai. I haven't setup my schedule for Pune yet. But that could happen sometime and I'll keep you updated. Whenever you guys want to meet in Mumbai, I will try to be around :)

I beg to differ. There is no agenda as such for any meet on PG :.
Why cant we have all the junta come in for AIPGM. 2 days is enough time to discuss wotever is needed with Allwyn. We could have a gyaan session if u want for 2 hrs in a lovely cottage in Alibaug. 😃 .

13th - Already a Pune meet is happening.
26/27 - AIPGM - Mumbai / Alibaug

Err.. anyone is free to. Just that I don't have any insight on any of the things you just mentioned. But if you want to drop by and chat - hell everyone is welcome

Hey aim - guess u have hit at the right time.

we were planning to meet either on wed/thu or on sunday (24th june). Since Allwin works in town side, if its weekday we have to keep it near churchgate. For Sunday, we have more options with the venue.

Now, with you around, we would freeze the date as 24th.

I will have a talk with Allwin once I reach bombay next week, and then would post the timings and the venue.

Finally we have been able to zero down on the venue and time...its 12 noon at CCD, Dadar East...5 mins walking distance form Dadar station....thr would be 4-5 of us (admits) meeting Allwin, the pagalguy
