Thanks for the link Anil, this was useful. However, I have a concern. I am also applying to ISB R2, which is obviously my first choice and if any of these convert, they need a confirmation amount to reserve my place. Will it make more sense to apply in the R2, i.e. after i am done with ISB. Anyone else thinking on similar lines?

That seems perfectly logical. Please note than Manchester applications are rather Stage Based than round based. The difference is minute but important, in that each stage is just one or two months away from each other. And these serve only as demarcations for interview notifications and admissions processes, rather than strict deadlines...
I would say an Indian application has equally strong chances of admit + scholarship until the 3rd stage, i.e. January 11th 2011. By this time however, the MBS' India quota would be overflowing. So they may not be very excited about an Indian profile unless it is above ordinary. All this, I'm basing on what I was able to decipher and extrapolate from the meeting I had with Ms. Heather Graham earlier this year. Of course, she was clearly diplomatic in her phrasing, but I tried to read between the lines...

Thanks Anil.

I am also looking for UK colleges mainly and few canadian and US colleges.

Yes, I got a reply from Manchester in profile checker....they took a week to reply.

Guys...this thread seems to be sleeping..get some news flowing......

I have hardly known the profile checker to reject an application outright. I had even submitted my profile for checking two years ago, just to see where I stand...And the adcom had told me that while my age was on the lower side, my profile still had a 'good chance' with MBS.:wow:

Obviously, the adcom only screens out ineligible profiles...Profile evaluation based on competition and demand-supply gap (specially from Indian applicants) just can't be made before ALL profiles are evaluated.

Thats true....they even ask for the CV.

AFAIK, the profil checker is only to eliminate those likely-applicants who do not meet the eligibility criteria. Nothing else. Im also planning to apply in stage-3 after ISB R-2. However, i started filling out the application form already. This application is a real pain in the entire body!!!

Hi Vijaysarathy

Your profile looks very interesting in the least of terms. Can you tell more about the kind of job you do? If its more technical, you must be able to convince the adcom what prompts you to take on the management mantle. As for the prospects after MBA, im trying desperately for some contact with current students. If i happen to get any contact, i will surely put forward your query to them.
