Ok WLs… !!! So the long long wait begins!!! I have heard that some will get the admit after 15days from today if some of the admits dont take up the offer. Anyways the wait is till 3rd week of march!!! %*% I hate this wait!!!

Thanks for this thread..This wait is definitely frustrating..but still much better than being dinged..leaves some hope..i wonder if they are going to give us WL Numbers/Rank..no clue...

Anyways...All the best to you..Hope the wait ends before this year ends...so the next year begins with a BANG! 😃

Are you sure about this 15 days thing. Any source?

I thing its et finallised only in march.

Am waitlisted as well. Just treating it as a ding and going ahead with other apps. Awaiting results of IIM-C PGPEX as well, but not very hopeful given my low wor-ex...Any of you apping INSEAD for Sept 2011?

Hey guys, I got a waitlist too. To introduce myself, I am 26, studied in a reputed and distinguished school and college where I refused to distinguish myself by any necessary means and managed to scrape through most of the necessary courses by the skin of my teeth.

The Lord himself knows how I managed to get into a semi decent(mostly indecent) job in a large professional services firm where I have been plodding along for the last 3 years with an eye to the clock and a tight hold on my seat (our netas and babus know what im talking about). I decided to do an MBA because my employers were threatening to fire me if I didnt learn to do something productive.

I am a reapplicant to ISB because apparently I dont understand No means Not now,not ever!!! But I am one of those eternal optimists who thinks that Bhajjy will one day replace Dravid as our new Wall of defence against all odds. I am hoping that someone in the Adcom is a humble man/woman who before he/she rose to absolute power, recognised the desire to do well in lesser mortals and has a soft spot for the underdog.

Atleast 3 admitted from PG are going to decline their offers (as per their post)

Hope more will join them come mid December when US colleges start sending admits

Salman, seems we both always ride the same boat, Dinged after R1 last year, this year waitlisted together!!

Hoping for the best dude....hope other admits get admitted to HSW and leave the ISB seats for us :P

Hello,

I got a waitlist too. I have 6+ years of IT work ex. I have a few questions.

1. Has it ever happened in the past that people knew the status of their app before March?
2. What other Indian schools are a good bet to apply to as a backup option now that we don't know our fate at ISB. I know of GLIM/XLRI.
3. Does anyone know if ISB is w/l applicant friendly? Do they really consider us . We dont even have a WaitList number :shock:
4. I heard that most IT guys got a waitlist. Is that true?

Quick question:
How many of you (me included) waitlisted folks feel that:
1. Either ISB feels you will join elsewhere even if offered a seat by ISB
And / Or
2. ISB would (or feels they would) have trouble placing you, given your already high CTC (say around or greater than the current average ISB outgoing CTC)?

Nothing to do with expressing disappointment of being waitlisted and thinking that one had a strong profile. Rather, I am just trying to rationalize stuff.

I am kind of bothered by (2) above.
What about you folks?

Thanks rossISB for starting this thread. I have been wait-listed too. Guess we don't have much than to than just hang-in there. Or probably, we can kick-off a discussion on what other schools the W/L candidates are planning to target (now that other options have to be looked into!).

I'm interested in reputable 1-year programs in any part of the world. Anyone has the list of these schools?
