I am 'IN' for the waitlist..!! How ironic 😃 Good one @vinaydev

Anyone who applied for IIM-B..my next hopes are on this..

Let me share some basic information that I found at last couple of years' wait-list forum.

1. The status of all of us on 15th Feb would again be changed to 'Shortlisted for Interview' before the R2 results are announced. Once the results started pouring in, 2 guys reported that they got final offer on that day itself while 2 reported that they were rejected. All other waitlisted candidates reported after 1st week of March.

2. No interviews for we guys now for sure.

3. Mostly IT guys would be found in this thread.

The above example is from 2011 thread.

For your reference.

so.. we now have to wait to move one step back from WAITLISTED to SHORTLISTED FOR INTERVIEW 😁

@Kapes Refuting this.. of the 11 or 12 that wrote to me first thing this morning

1. Doctor - Dentist
2. Marketing professional
3. Freelance designer
4. Energy industry - IT consultant
5. Power industry - engineer
6. Chip designer - semi conductor industry
7. software engineer
8. Risk Advisory
9. Technology R&D; with 13 yrs work ex
10. Management consulting
11. Goldman Sachs consulting I think....

So there are all sorts of people ranging from 2.5 years to 13 years work ex.. 610 to 730 gmat... good acads, excellent acads, bad acads..
good EC or none

Mostly the pattern seems to be - interview not convincing for great acads + gmat + workex + diverse profile

Interview was alright + average work ex + typical profile

PS: how do I add people to this thread????
@Sadhvika It was just my observation on one of the similar threads. Good that you shared this info.

@Kapes from one of the last threads I saw someone had a google docs with some information that we could all fill in and track - and see patterns or status... check out the 2013 W/L thread.. it has a google docs...Anyway.. how do I add people to the thread???

I second sadhvika. I don't think most are IT applicants. Most of my friends who applied to ISB - (this is just 4 and a very bad sampling size) - either got accepted (1) or rejected (2). I was the black sheep of the herd who got waitlisted.

I am not sure whether we can add anyone here. But we may just tag them in one of the comments here. I think that would suffice.
