Confused how your finances will be taken care of?
Married ? How about your spouse?

When I did my one year MBA from IIM-Calcutta, many questions like these continued to trouble me. It took me more than an year to finally decide to go for higher studies. Simply because it was not just a professional decision., but a personal one.

That is when I decided I will write a book..A book on experiences ....

For more...

Planning to apply to ISB for 2014-2015 season. When do I need to apply and write GMAT, TOEFL?

You need to write GMAT once you are fully prepared and confident enough to get good score, plan to take it before September 15. You need to focus more on your application preparation rather than worrying only on GMAT. Let me know if you have any questions.

Hi @aakhrijang ! If you haven't taken GMAT yet, you should target the second deadline ie November 30th. Take GMAT anytime before November 30th and you should be able to apply to ISB. But there are 4 essays that you would need to work on as a part of your application. So it is ideal that you take GMAT by late October and give a month to your essays.
Feel free to discuss anything else that you may need.

All the Best!

No toefl is required mate. You have to give GMAT before Sep 15, which is the end date for Round 1 or if you want to apply to round 2 check the date and plan accordingly. However, you need atleast a month to frame your application as well.

Hi guys. i have done my bachelors in architecture. Five years of work ex with design studios and construction industry. good academics, not so good though. worked with a number of international consultant and labs on evolving energy efficient building operations. what chances do i stand for isb? what would be the bare minimum gmat score to ensure a call?

Vishal there is no minimum or maximum GMAT score. You should target 700+ GMAT, so focus on improving your GMAT and also focus on application essays and building your profile. Also do some research on your career goals and find out your true interest and then apply for the top b-schools. Let me know more about your profile like extra curriculars, achievements at work place which will help to evaluate your profile

Hi Harsh,

You haven't shared much about your profile. Need to know more about your:

1. Acads/GPA
2. Short/long term goals
3. Achievements in or outside work place.
4. Team work
5. Leadership skills.

Would be easy to evaluate your profile based on these parameters.

Best
Maya

Your profile will be a lot different after 3 more years of family business experience, so answering this question will be a lot more relevant 2.5 years later. :)

In general ISB does take in people with family business experience. I hope that you are able to turn it around for the better in the next few years.

Also, you are on the wrong thread - there is a "class of 2015" thread for ISB, or you can post your queries on the Ask-a-Consultant thread.
