GMAT Prep Classes - Chennai

Given your scenario, I suggest you try online classes - Knewton. They offer a very customized course; you get a huge database to work on the basics. Also, it will not matter whether you keep moving; all that you need is a laptop and internet.

Hi All,

I have searched quite a bit on Pagalguys thus far, and have not been able to narrow down on the best institute for GMAT preparation in Chennai. I have seen many people recommending 4GMAT and Princeton Review. I am not comfortable with either, because they don't seem to spend too much time on the basics.

I am looking for an institute that will help someone like me - 8+ years work experience, far removed from academics. I need a gmat training centre that promises nothing more than the following - patience when teaching me (I dont want any rushing through), starting from the basics and focused on quality. I don't care if they promise me that I would get 620 or 720 on the GMAT. That is the end result, and it is beyond anyone's control. But I am very focused on preparing well for the GMAT. Quality Preparation is in my control.

I am currently considering GMATToppers and Kaplan (Chopras). FYI. Very impressed with GMAT Toppers. Slightly hesitant about Kaplan, since they have told me clearly that they don't have the time to focus on the basics. GMAT Toppers are focusing heavily on the basics. I have attended some of their sessions already. The only issue for me is, GMAt Toppers has a branch in Bangalore but doesnt have any othger branches. Kaplan on the other hand has branches around India. I need the flexibility of moving within India, because I am awaiting a promotion and a geographical move very soon with my company.

I hope I am not complicating my question here. I wish to know which institution I should pick for GMAT preparation in Chennai. Awaiting your expert responses. Thanks in advance, everyone!

Dude.. while preparing for GMAT it all depends on the trainer, not the material, not the online material. I have met scores of people with 8GB of material who are still struggling with GMAT basics. So if you want to prepare well for GMAT meet the trainer, sit him or her, ensure that they are there from start to finish. Institutes, material there are countless:- Princeton,semantics,4gmat,kaplan,gmattoppers.... neighbourhood GMAT trainer.

With your traveling schedule, be ready for lots of self learning.

to get a plan of action without joining any coaching institute, maybe i can help. email me mrgeorge.anand@gmail:|

is 4gmat gud institution...pleas let me knw if there are any better coaching institutions.....pleeeaaase

yeah..the classes are awesome!! I am presently attending their week day batch.

really???....thanx... was gtin vry confused wit all these..even im plannin to join in the feb batch...fr weekend classes...but its very far for me...so im in big time dilemma...anyways thanx again...

Even I agree that preparation depends on the trainer and self learning because what can one do with heaps of material lying and not solving them methodologically. It's important to understand one's strengths and weaknesses and accordingly work upon them. Basics are obviously important but more importantly its about how you learn them and how you apply them and how does your institute teach you that.
Make a wise decision about your preparation.

Hi,
I just joined a weekday batch in 4GMAT starting today. The class seems to be pretty good. I heard they will start another batch on Feb 10.

In case you are working professional, this would be best option... entire course gets over in a month's time

nope im not working...im studying..so mstly wll join in weekend batch..starting on 29th.....
thanx

hi,
guys 4gmat and princton seems to be the best in chennai. can anybody suggest which of these would be helpful in improving verbals???

Hey,

Lets start a study group for Chennai GMAT aspirants. PM me if you are interested

Thanks

I am not really sure about Princeton coaching, but 4GMAT is a pretty decent place for English and the cost is only about half of what you pay at princeton

I joined GMATsuperia verbal course of semantics. They have a verbal exclusive package. the only one in chennai. i find it pretty good. did check with other institutes, they didnt have one with gmat verbal specific training. The faculty is pretty good...
