Hi All,

I am at present studying at Cass, London. I have a week off and can answer your questions about Cass and Mba in UK incase you have any.

Cheers!!

PS: I am not from adcom or appointed by school to do this. Was in your place last year and equally worried, so thought of sharing my little knowledge.

Hi Abhinav,

I have an admit for Msc Management from Cass. I was wondering whether the course is worth the time and money given the economic situation across Europe + new PSW policies. Though I have got +ve reviews about the course but I am still skeptical about the employability boost the course would provide. Also, any idea about the reputation of such a course back here in India -- do people find job roles (say Business Analyst, etc) in India after such courses ?Moreover, I want to do an MBA eventually, so would doing an MSc Management be a right career move? I would really appreciate your inputs on it as I have make a deposit of GBP 2000 by this week.

Thanks

icecube,

if you dont have any work exp, then finding job could be a challenge.. there are thousands of Msc grads all across UK who would be graduating with you and with new visa regulations it could be difficult to find a job. But again, its not impossible.. i dont know the reputation of course back home.. but it certainly wont be a 'Wow' thing..i would suggest you to do your homework and not take any decision without weighing out pros and cons...

Hi Abhinav,

Just a general question ... what are the sports facilities available from college ? In hostel or in the college campus.

Hi.. What have you decided. Even i have an offer from CASS for MSc Management. I have one from Warwick and UCL too. Heard from one of the course alumni that Warwick has the worst MSc Management course. So dropped that. UCL a very new course. A 2 year old baby. Reviews not that great. I have to make a deposit by April 10. New PSW visa rules are worrying me tooo. PLease let me know your decision. It will be great if we can get in touch.

How is the Masters in Finance program at CASS?

From what I have heard, CASS has an excellent reputation for finance and given the fact that London is a financial hub, a finance course at CASS can also provide you with some good career opportunities.

P.S. - This is my personal opinion. Better would be to get in touch with a present student/recent graduate from Msc finance in London or vicinity.

Hi,

Please some info on accommodation.
I read that Aliance and Willen are pretty popular for Cass students.

Any info on advantages and disadvantages of these 2 halls of residence?
Facilities? Equipment?
As far as I can see Willen is walking distance from Cass and a little bit more expensive, while Aliance is not a walking distance...
But Willen offers 51 week, and Aliance only 41 week of accommodation?? So it means you must leave the room on 22 June 2013? Can it be extended?
What about private accommodation? Any postgrad students in private acc.?

Other questions:
- Bank account : how does the process go for foreign citizens? needed documents? which bank to go - experiences?
- Health insurance - any experiences? what if you get sick while studying?

Thanks

Chonty
