Dear Puys,

It gives us immense pleasure to introduce the Official Admission thread for Great Lakes Institute of Management, Chennai's 1 year Post Graduate Program in Management (PGPM) program.

This thread is meant for all prospective applicants to Great Lakes for the academic session beginning in 2013. If you have queries regarding the admission process, requirements or have any other question, please post them here.

The usual rules and regulations of the forum apply for all queries on this thread. You can network with current applicants as well, while clarifying issues on application process, important dates, etc.

@Stuppid PGDM of GLIM is 2 yrs.. PGP is one yr coursed for ppl with more than 24 months of work ex.. Freshers and ppl with

The cut-off scores will be relative for each batch. As such, there is no cut-off score.
The cut-off will depend on the scores of the applicants pool and the work experience.

PGPM is a 1 year course. The 2 year PGDM program of Great Lakes, Chennai is different.

PGPM is our flagship 1 year fast track MBA program that commenced in 2004 and is meant for prospective candidates with a minimum of 2 years of full time work experience, whereas PGDM was started this year and is for candidates with 0 - 2 years work experience.

few more query,

I saw pagalguy ranking, the one it showing at 32th rank is for PGPM or PGDM .
Which score Great Lake accept XAT or CAT because on the Great lakes's website it showing Spartan having more than 94% in CAT(GMAT must be for NRI only)
And if i have given both the exam i.e. XAT and CAT both in that case how institute will decide, do i have to fill two separate form for it ?

As mentioned in the website, the admissions scores to be considered is at your discretion. However, if more than one score is reported, the best scored would be considered for admission process.

I think this not updated one ?
CAT 2011 and XAT 2012 is already over

I appeared for the GMAT/ CAT/ XAT 3 years ago. Are the scores still valid or do I need to re-take the exam?

GMAT scores taken on or after 1st Jan 2009 will be considered for admission. Candidates have to report their GMAT scores officially to the institute through GMAC in case an admission offer is made. The official score must reach Great Lakes before the candidate joins the program.
Candidates applying on the basis of their CAT score must note that only the scores for CAT-2010 and CAT-2011 will be accepted.
Candidates applying on the basis of their XAT score must note that only the scores for XAT-2011 and XAT 2012 will be accepted.
