this is to all the poor souls like me on this planet who r lost in cut throat competition.
I really dont know man wat is in store for us.We work really hard and try to find ourselves lost in this competitive jungle .Iam not an engineer but a BBA gold medalist .And I know that all B schools want engineers as if non engineers wont make a good managers.

Myself left my job started preparing for CAT with a hope that i will land up somewhere close to top 10 B schools.But after first 7-8 mockcats realized that i wont cross even 90% tile.

Then shifted my attention towards non IIM institutes and tried my hand at NMAT there also I was hoping to cross 95+ got landed up at 80.

Now waiting for SNAP results here also gave my best performance attempetd 145 worth of marks and to play safe applied to best 4 institutes.Only hoping that NMAT like stuff doesnt happen here.

Really dont know wat to expect now.Invested heavily in SNAP somewhere around 5000 bucks thats high amt for me.

BUT THIS NEVER SAY DIE ATTITUDE KEEPS ME GOING .
IF NOT SIBM THE JBIMS FOR SURE.
SO GUYS IT DOESNT MATTER WAT THE RESULTS SAY WE R GONNA BOUNCE BACK.

Dont worry bro..145 marks attempt assuming 80% accuracy would take to all the GD/PI centres...Well with so many PGites attempting and expecting more than 100 cutoffs would really go sky rocketed....

@maddy_catty :- u can expect a call from sibm n siib. scm seems to be a bit dicy, as we count of every section indiviually.
post your academic background on the same thread,then I ll be able to cooment on the chances you can count on!

i think that snap was easy to solve and i m expecting that cut-off will go up this year
but cut offs projected by coaching classes varies from 75 to 95 for sibm
if anyone has of idea of actual cut off will be then pls tell me

SCM is called honeymoon campus simply because its the darling of the corporates. They love/praise the intellect present n the structured thought process of the student. thats why they never think twice in making huge investment in human capital that they get from SCMHRD.

Well i dont exactly remember the no. of questions i attempted. But i think the paper being easy we can expect a high cutoff.

I have applied to SIBM. I am filling the SCM form and have a query; the Academic background page says "Details of Std. X, XII and all years of Graduation/Degree are mandatory."

Do we have to fill in the marks of every year of graduation? coz my acads arent good except for the final year.

Guyz and gals plz tell me how much weightage is given to the acads.

Obviously Academic are imp but if your profile i mean work ex,ur achivements ar good den no problem even if acdmics ar low.

Well dear, I personally feel that SCM is a good b-school, where you can expect a good R.O.I. after 2 years time, and then there are banks willing to give a loan too. If you're confident to do well in your studies at SCM, and aspire to be amongst the top 10th of your class, I feel you should go ahead and apply hear. Do post your query on the SCM thread to get Shanker's opinion in this regard as well.

Iam there with u for SIMS.First of all we r are frm defencebackground and people expect disicipline frm us so next time onwards keep u r fonts small.
Regarding SIMS its good but u simply cant compare it with SCMHRD its far ahead of SIMS.

I MET A GUY FRM AND HE passed out this year working with accenture.
He said institute has best campus amongst all simbi schools (its called honeymoon campus.)
Regarding placements also dont be that confident.
U will get placement but it differs frm candidate to candidate.
It all depends on how u perform in those 2 yrs.

Myself applied for SIBM,SCMHRD ,SIIB AND SIMS.Confident of getting call frm all these institutes.

i have a prolonged hesitation for applying to SCMHRD even after being somewhat confident for an SIBM call (profile based)! the hesitation is bcoz of the heft 4.5 Lacs as the cost of an MBA frm the SCMHRD. Add to it, the cost of a laptop which is virtually mandatory for every student there. the official budget hence goes to nearly 5-5.2 Lacs.
one can assume his overall cost cud even touch 6 lacs for the SCMHRD's MBa.

hope i m not the only one who feels 6 lacs as an unaffordable amt to pay....???

I also was in the same boat as you are in some time ago.I had applied only to SIBM and SIIB b4 snap coz I didnt know if it would be worth spending sooooooooooo much money on SCM but after snap n after reading all the post ,I applied to SCM too.
I think its a safe bet, the only problem should be arranging for soo much money,but that also should be much of a problem, banks would be more than happy to provide you with loans.
Anyways, personally speaking,if I get to choose btwn SCM n SIBM,i would go for the latter,the simple reason being,its far more cheaper.
