gt 98.2 oa and only pm & ir call....really happy since it was my worst exam of the season............
in all d excitement i completely forgt abt the essay we wrote.........after the exam there was so much frustration...i don even remember what i wrote.......anyways when and how does the essay plays its part?

Essay may be used when you go for your personal interview. Mine was never used, but I've heard that a few others had questions asked on their essays.

Sorry, dude...looks like you missed out on only one section. However, you are likely to get calls for SP Jain and XIMB. As far as I'm aware, they do not take sectional cut-offs, but you're going to have to go to their own threads for that...I'm not an expert on those two. Well, I'm not really an expert as such on XLRI either, but I try. :)

Just relax and wait for them to send you a mail. You'll get an email first, and then you'll get a snail mail with the details of your GD-PI location.

General advice to everyone
As soon as you find out where your GD or PI is going to take place, book your tickets and arrange for accommodations. It might be a good idea to reach one day in advance and get a good night's sleep before the interview the next day. :)

yaar though i m n outcast in this thr8 since gt nly 97.3 in xat with 89.22 in va(my bad) some info to share.ur written plays minimal role in gd/pi .two of my frnds gt 99.83 and 99.97 last time nd they werent selected (not even waitlisted) but my elder vro g8 98.67 nd he was selected(though he was selected everywhere he gt call frm) the thing is gd/pi is the sole decider.

ps: plz this info is based on exp nd nt facts .srry if written toppers feel bad)

they will send u a letter mentioning the date and location of the GD/PI. U ll get separate letters for PMIR and BM inteviews.

U might have to fill in an online questionnaire ( the letters will explain this part, as this started from last year only)

The consolation is that I've got PMIR call...but the real target was BM, and it hurts to have come so close and missed out..

100%? Is there a thing as 100%. MAT guys gave me 100%, but later they sent me a mail saying that it was 99.99%....And ain't the percentiles 3 digits????

Damn i didn't get a call. i applied and paid Rs1500, posted the form on 19th Nov but didnt get a confirmatory mail regarding the same. I mailed them in Dec and they asked me to wait. After the exam i thought i had screwed up so i didnt follow up.
Now i get this result.
Please help me. What should be my next course of action. I really need some help. I have the speed post receipt and the 1500/ payment receipt.

Email the admission dept, forwarding them the email where they asked u to "wait"
Attach the scanned copy of Speed post and payment receipt. Ask them what u shud do next.

And whatever one expects is out of the window once the official news is out.So,please avoid comparisons now.

Hard Luck You missed QA cutoff by very small margin.Since I got call BM call for 92.45 percentile in QA,its hardly the difference of half marks.
