To start off with its vry difficult to predict the percentile w.r.t to the scores. This yr the XAT ppr was relatively easy n the predictors hav given an estimate that a score of 36plus will get u to XLRI(pls note this is a raw estimate) so u can consider an error of 5. So based on these u can do ur estimations.Cant help u guys on the score front since the colleges decide the cutoffs based on the average scores of the aspirants who hav applied and they are based on percentiles only n not on the absolute scores...

Congrats on your cat scores. Anything above 80 in cat should give you a good chance of getting a call from XIME. Till last year, sectional cut offs where not there. So if your overall percentile is clear of 80, go ahead and apply.

You never know what the cut off would be this year.Last year it was 80 percentile for getting a call for gdpi.May be it can increase this year or even decrease.You can fill the form and wait for the list,that's the least you can do currently!!!

Yupp essay is very important. A good interview with a bad essay may not get u a seat!!!

XIME has mentioned CAT scores are also considered in lieu of XAT scores.
are you sure sir that essay will be considered still, i mean maybe to evaluate cat n xat students equally during interview essay might not be considered.

actually i was told by my teachers that only xlri n ximb sees ur essay, n i was aiming liba,ifmr n xime, so i just didnt bothered about essay.

Everyday, i read at least 100 - 150 posts in Pagalguy. I must admit that you Seniors of XIME have done a great job answering each and every query so that all aspirants are benefited. Kudos to abhinayak , nean_1223, kartik and co..

Many of my queries have been answered in the earlier posts. I would however like to know the following as well

1) Is the 80 percentile cut off score (or whatever it is this yr), strictly observed while calling aspirants for GD/PI? Is there any relaxation when compared to good profiles and quality Work Ex ? Was it disclosed somewhere by XIME that 80 percentile is required. Reason am asking this is, i'm expecting something around the same lines, hence need your help on this. In case i get a fraction less that 80, would you recommend candidates to apply?

2) As ppl have asked lots of questions on package, i thought i should search the info. from XIME website. But i couldn't find numbers anywhere. There was a PDF as well, but even that din't have any numbers? Could you please provide any placement figures released by XIME recently so that all the applicants queries are quashed.

3) I was going through last yr's discussion as well. There seems to be too much an emphasis on the location of GD in terms of dates and other stuff. Is it true ?

4) Does XIME conduct any other rounds like Essay writing etc apart from or instead of GD or PI?

Placements for all the specializations are equally good..don wry on gettin a lower compensation/profile if u choose a splzn compared the others..nm operations is a splzn provided in XIME

If that score corresponds to a percentile higher than 80...den u may get a call (based on previous yr cutoffs)

There is no quota in the college. all 180 seats are general merit seats and the highest package last yr was 10.6lpa(philips) . the fresher : work ex ratio may be arnd 49:50...

Nope...70%ilers don stand a chance of bein cald 4 gd/pi.. acc to last yr scores it is a min of 80%ile tat will get u a gd/pi spot...

All XAT colleges are known for their HR pgms,,, be it XIMB , LIBA , GIM or XIME...any one of dese colleges will giv u a good HR diploma.. pls note a specialized HR pgm is given oly XLRI and XIMB at the moment, others giv u a general MBA where u choose ur electives based on the specialization u want.

Placement has been 100 % in XIME since its inception except the 2009 passout batch which suffered from recession. Even then the placement was pretty good with 80 % considering the situation back then. We have very good faculty group with people from industry with lot of experience under their belt. In second year we have very good visiting faculties from industries for specialised subjects.

The median salary is not known but its speculated to b around 6. Pls note this is my speculation and is not a sure shot figure. But the average salary is 6.03 and it is mentioned in the website.

Hey this is really sad that people are interested in knowing the packages rather than Faculty, Quality of Education, Courses offered and Alumni.

If you are master of your subject then there is no limitation on your package.
Your knowledge is something that is the most important.

So rather focus on the relevant areas.

Actually XIME is one of the best B-Schools in its area.I checked the placement details. XIME has very good placements. Here is the placement details of the current final year batch:

Highest Package: 17.60 lakhs/annum CTC
Average Package: 8.51 lakhs/annum CTC
(these are Actual Figuers unlike most collages)

Making things very clear to all:
1. The placements for the current final year batch has not yet started. Our collage always starts with placements in Jan.
2. The figures quoted by this guy are fictional.
3. XIME boasts of 100% placements since inception (except recession struck year) so placements has never been an issue. Last year AVG package was 6.03 as mentioned in the website.

As mentioned many times before placements are totally a student driven program where its different for each batch. depending on the preferences given by the students, companies are called accordingly.

@parvu007 do all the research you want n find out whatever info u can get about the collage, but do us all a favor by keeping it to yourself! As ur data is completely not true. Posting false data and trying to dename a reputed collage or any collage for that matter is not encouraged in PG. So for your own good please STOP, else you will be attracting a BAN!

The last year cut off was 80 percentile and we can only speculate the cut off for this year.XIME does not hold any sectional cut off so no point in worrying about your quant cut off.
