yes i remember you...IFMR wl is quite far dnt think ll convert it its 93...though m hapy with LIBA....joining LIBA from june 8th....welingkar most probably wont attend it....but m impressed at the calls given by them...they hv been seriously very selective..ppl with high percentiles and no clals...surprising ....which inst are u joining??

loll....is garg04 a he or she..... dont even know, anyways thank goodness u finally understand my acads point wala...... but i really suported garg04 coz all of us( call getters ) were being insensitive to al those who havent despite a gud profile( acads, % only) .....i know they got to move on, but its high time we do realize lots of thing happen behind the scenes even in our so called top B-schools.... at the end of the day its business for them people.... all i am asking is to plz refrain from posting stuff like " may be u din deserve this , every insti has the right to decide its cut-off" ....

this does kind of irritate people who have 94% in xat, bloody hell thats anyday better than ur 97/98 in CET and ATMA( no offense though)...... and when i gt a cal at 90.83 in cat with average acads and 22 months family business exp , i was shocked....

so all plz be sensitive and not rude towards them.... after a month or two some of us wud be standing on the other side of the fence and critcizing WE ...." itna accha gd/pi/test gaya tha phir bhi nahi hua".....

@ all those who are calculating scores

guyz read d mandatory disclosure. It is madatory for each college to disclose the cutoffs.

cutoffs discloses by welingkar from year 2007 was (cat/xat/atma/mhcet scores + work ex+ acads) = 52/130

for year 2008 was cat/xat/atma/mhcet scores + work ex+ acads) = 59/130.

i dont know how they came to this figure.this is utter disguise. so all those who are calculating ,better save ur algebra fr the next xams. ATB.by d way mine 93.66 in cat and no call... had they told me earlier i wud not have drained my 1500.

To end the speculation about the cut offs, I suggested in one of my previous posts as well (don't know if it got noticed or not), I think those who could not make it should post their sectionals as well..
when the competition is such cut throat.. even a minute difference matters..
I think if we'll take sectionals into considerations, if not all atleast some guys will get an answer why they were not able to make it..

First of all read properly before commenting I have written most and not all and what u r saying is about IIM-A. which has started its calculation from 60(lowest among all IIMs). go to IIM-C and check the calculation before posting here and many of them follow that only. i m posting the calculation for ur kind and useful information.

u must agree that having cat 91.53%ile, xat 94.46%ile is pretty good w.r.t WE school....

now i m fresher....

regarding acads.. i want to say that i got call from IIMS just due to my acads(10th -85%,12 -72%,B.E -91.7%) on such low %ile in cat.... so definitely no probs even with acads..

then where is the problem that i didn't got call....

i know that.. i m not great.. even my shillong interview was very bad..

Garg 04, I understand u r upset with not getting selected. But instead of spamming this site with posts that clear highlight a majorly bruised ego, reflect on the fact whether u truly deserved to get selected. In my case, I got shortlisted for IIM K, IIM S,IIFT, TAPMI, BIM, NITIE, KJ Somaiyya, MICA,Welingkar, converted IMT PGDM, got 99.54% in CET, yet I could not make it to NMAT GD PI. Does that mean I am not good enough? I have also topped my boards with exemplary marks. However, let us not get too excited about an IIM S call. It does not prove we are great! The institute is new and is not at par not only with the other IIM's but also institutes like NITIE, MDI, SP Jain, etc. Welingkar, in comparison is an established institute and is trying to increase its competitive streak by ensuring that they take only the best students with sufficient level of maturity.
If you havent got selected, it is not the institute's fault, but your own shortsightedness. Please dont lose heart, no offence meant! But please prepare hard and lets hope you do make it somewhere.

all inferences are wrong because you are making it on the basis of assumption and not facts.

1-you *do not know* what weightage is given to CAT/XAT/CET/ATMA SO PLEASE DONT ASSUME EQUAL WEIGHTAGES.

2-another assumption that only the freshers who post here of not having calls are the ones who applied AND NO ONE ELSE FROM FRESHERS HAVE APPLIED !!!!!!!!!!

3-Another generalization based on one post.

4-you are simply throwing muck...you have no idea how many management seats are there but still you will say 50 % ...sour grapes nothing else...
