this time they have reduced one round.

As in Brochure from the DTE they would have 2 CAP rounds where in the scores of CMAT/CAT would be considered for admissions into OMS seat quota.

The third round/Counselling round would have no reservations and all seats
would be taken up as general seats...
So does that mean that CMAT/cat scores would not be in contention for third round and only Cet scores will be accepted??

i hav not yet decided on the specialization yaar , the profiles which are offered at IIM K ,are they also offered at JB ? or is it like certain profiles are offered at IIMs nly ? profiles like IB ,Brand Management etc ? i hav an incilnation towards JB since i stay in mumbai .

p.s: IIM K has 383 students from dis year.

However, difference between highest and lowest package is very large as compared to JB (which has batch strength of only 120).

If you are planning to do Finance specialization, probably you might want to be in JB as its MBA in finance is best in the country (only after IIM A,B,C of course). For other specializations quite many would prefer IIM K.

I have GDPI on 31st May at JBIMS. And NDA has declared Bharat Bandh on the same day. So, will GDPI be taken according to scedule? IF postponed I will be screwed since I am going out. and have everything. :

Can students of JBIMS ask in the office and confirm? Please?

Unless you get an official mail from the DTE, do not assume that your GDPI schedule would change. If postponed, you may have to cancel your outing in case you want to be eligible for the further process of CET. JBIMS has no role in the process of deciding the CET schedule. The responsibility lies with the DTE which conducts the CET.

I hv given GDPI and expecting total score around 159-162 /240 which can be just short of JB's cut off (OPEN OHU has only 9 seats AFAIK) and hence I am thinking about SIMSREE
Hence, any of the SIMSREE students can throw some light on below points plz --
1. Total expenses (incl. everything) for 2 years (for both MMS and PGDBM courses)
2.Actual Average salary (i heard those given on its website are misleading) offered by ITES companies
for experienced candidates (I am 2.5 yrs xperienced candidate from foreign MNC ITES)
3. Profiles offered (I am looking forward to consulting profile in IT field ex. ERP consulting)

No bandh can deter DTE schedule, believe me.

If you live close to JBIMS, you can go by a private vehicle. Or you can leave your house well in advance (approximately 2 hours) and walk it out (if you live close). No political body will dare disturb innocent pedestrians walking on the road even if it is a bandh.

If you live far, catch the early morning train (6 am/7 am maybe, depending on the timings of your GD/PI) and reach Churchgate Station well in advance (bandh implementation starts only after 9 am/10 am). You can spend your time at any cafe shop there (or just go to the college and tell them the reason for your early arrival) till your GD PI starts.

I think you're talking about the part time courses, they require I think 2 or 3 years of work experience with a graduation degree.

Dates : Could be one exam in September, and one exam definitely in February( they're gonna be holding it twice a year ) but no one knows whether there will be an attempt in September( as far as I know )
Scores : For JBIMS you will need to be in top 100-200 ranks to have a shot (my point of view)
Pattern : They have 4 parts to the exam 25 questions with 4 marks for a correct answer and -1 for an incorrect answer, the 4 parts are Quants/DI, Logic, Verbal Ability and General knowledge.. Any more doubts please ask!

Dude, but how can you already assume that you are going to flunk this year..? Relax, every question has a solution.

The eligibility criteria (Page 8 of Application Brochure) says that you need a minimum of 50% aggregate (all three years combined) showing in your Convocation Certificate. Now, if you do flunk the third year (which I hope does not happen) you need to rush to the University Campus and ask them when would be the earliest that you can re-appear for the paper that you flunked in. You can put forward your case and persuade them by saying you got 70% aggregate in the course and you got XYZ%ile in the CET, etc.

The reason why the last date is September 25 of each year is because KT exams are held in October (of each year) and the University does not want re-appearing candidates to to submit their documents at any later stage. Extension will not (cannot) be given by your college as it is under Mumbai University jurisdiction (your documents are the universities requirement and not your college's so the college cannot do anything about the dates).

Your original's are for the ARC Officer to see and verify and the attested true copies of the same are for the ARC Officer to keep and pass on to DTE.

You have to get them attested. Only photocopies would not suffice. As earlier mentioned in posts, you can get all your documents attested by a lawyer, doctor, advocate, etc.

Having scored 70% in your 5th Semester, you having doubts about passing in the 6th one now..?

All you have to manage is, somehow get 50% in your Graduation/Convocation Certificate. If the aggregate percentage mark of all the three years of your graduation degree shows 50% or above, you are safe and eligible.

But if the KT in your 6th Semester, rocks your boat and hampers the 50% chances, then you should start thinking. Anyway, pray hard and hope for the best. I am sure things will work out for you.
