Sufyan bought 1200 eggs at Rs. 16 a dozen. At what price per hundred must he sell the eggs so as to earn a profit of 15 % ?

No options given. But, answer given is 153 1/3 per hundred.
Can someone explain how?!

Cool. I solved it by percentage points :

Passed in any sub % = 65+55-(40% of 55)=98%
Failed in both = 2% = 12 students

Correct answer is 12 ie none of these.

failed in phy=35% i.e. passed = 65% = 390
similarly passed in chem = 55% = 330
passed in both= 40% of 330= 132

so total passed(in atleast 1 subject)= 3
90+330-132 = 588


so failed in both = 12

Answer is 4) 1:32
Basic Method: a/b = 1/2, hence a = 2b
b/c = 1/2 hence b = 2c, hence a = 2(2a) = 4a
Similarly d = 8a, e = 16a, f =32a and g = 64a
Now put these values in (a + b) : (f + g), 3a:96a = 1:32

Speed Technique: Put a =1, b =2, you will get, c=4,d=8,e=16,f=32,g=64. Put these values directly in given ratio. U will get answer orally.

for application to JBIMS ,u have to fill MH-CET application form....mh-cet is a centralized process,so u dnt have to fill form for JBIMS....u will be alloted colleges according to ur rank/marks.....for application form dates and schedule for the exam u can visit

6.start of CAP rounds in july...
7.august-entry into JBIMS classroom,which is also known as red brick walls...

i have a basic query...while considering best of cet/cat , do they just look at the final percentile or is there some sort of normalization/sectional/etc etc stuff??

as in if i get 99.2 percentile in cat and 99.5 percentile in mhcet, then 99.5 will be taken irrespective of the actual raw score/precentage score/total score etc???
