Fb is more sophisticated when compared to PG...,, there r so much conversations reg MU well one can satisfy with the ambiance u feel there coz 1.Its d oldest university in TN providing MBA degree
2.Faculties r quite good when compared to many other MBA colleges//

guys after one weeks rigorous small research on "MBA in ANNA UNIV affiliated colleges" i would like to conclude as below:

Tier 1 colleges: (Where you must be happy if you get a seat, worth to study)
1. PSG
2. Anna Univ
3. SSN
4. St Joseph
5. TSM

Tier 2 Colleges: (these are colleges where you may not get a job confirmly, but you might have chances of getting the way to attend campus recruitments)

1. Panimalar
2. Velammal
3. Jeppiaar
4. Sairam
5. sri venkateshwara college of engineering and technology
6. Mepco Shlenk
7. Kongu engineering college

Tier 3 Colleges: ( when you need only a degree, and job is not ur main concern)

1. Easwari
2. Valliammai

And all the other colleges are not even worth of doing MBA .

And someone should clarify on Madras Universities reputation.

3.Avg pay if possible...

I too know a few people who've passed out from MU and one of my seniors is right now stepping into his final year.. I'm not really sure about the exact placement details.. But i heard from a bunch of people that MU does attract more companies than Anna's DoMS.. Placement totally depends on the individual, i feel.. If 100% placement is what we want then we should be aiming only for IIMs/IITs/NITIE/S.P.Jain etc... There are very few colleges under TANCET that are pure b-schools and given half of them are centric with engineering.. Again no offence to anyone.. Can't rate a college based on just a bunch.. Need more inputs.. Anyone who has more details.. please share..

yeah thr's no offense, and 100% placement which i meant is not that all should get placed, at least the deserving candidates!!! i personally know her, how well she studies, but her bad time!!!

chk tat link guys, thr's a new MoU !!! but still, what i heard from others in MU is again bad, thry are laughing at MU, i can understand tat it has best DoMS!!! but it lacks in getting jobs for deserving students, is what they concluded!!!

if all of ur 33 are right then ur score is pretty good to get a seat in anna univ!!! usually ppl frm BC community scoring between 35-40 will easilt get, and 33 s not bad!!! u have major chances!!! so good luck!!!

Placements in Anna Univ are average.. Madras Univ DOMS does a better job in that aspect compared to Anna.. So people prefer Madras to Anna.. And look for full fledged Business Schools like TSM, PSGIM.. Some people feel doing MBA in an Engineering college is not satisfactory..

yep RC's were very tough other than that it was quiet easier i may attended 55-60 questions with a 90% accuracy. i dunno whether i could get into psgim.

Thanks for all friends who posted...Since no official announcement or proof made on inclusion of BIM or some other cols in TN cant belive that completely ..yes i too heard from my seniors reg tat news so ly posted regarding tat in my earlier posts but since election is also a concern this year m sure there wont be implementation of G.O`s before election result... If tat G.O is true one can assure tat it ll not be implemented for the current academic year since its already too late for this year...

^^^^ After reading the above comment, hope t tancet aspirants r clear wid the colleges accepting tancet score. As usual PSG, DoMS-AU, DoMS-MU, SSN, TSM and all other self-financing engg. colleges accept tancet score...

Called up BIM.. They are not taking TANCET Scores.. And as far as LIBA goes.. Impossible.. LIBA offers a PGDM.. TANCET scores are only for programs affiliated to universities which would be colleges offering an MBA and not a PGDM.. No official news either from anna univ..

It s well clearly mentioned in the respective college sites that they accept only cat/xat scores...

BUt still, just like MHCET and other state entrance exams, tancet shud be accepted by all colleges in TN... If not next year, it might soon be declared that TANCET shud b accepted by all colleges in a year or two...

If the news that TANCET score has to be accepted by all B-Schools in TN is true, do provide us with proofs like news clippings or ads...

Even if it is true, is it applicable from this year? I haven't seen any such news so far and ppl who have taken admissions in other colleges with MAT/XAT/CAT score will have to lose their admissions if they wait for TANCET counseling til late july and blindly believe that BIM and other CAT/XAT colleges in TN accepts TANCET score...

Someone take responsibility and make sure whether the news is true or not...
