according to cl and tf i have a score between 80-85...are there chances for ssbm

with 86 score in snap..do i have any chances

hi abhishek ,i'm getting around 102 in snap ,although i'm interested in mba in finance/banking so i'm thinking to apply to ssbm but since it is a new college with unproven abilities ,so i'm really confused whether to apply to ssbm or not.
we don't have any idea about the placements and the avg. package since it is a new college,so will it be prudent to invest 8 lacs at ssbm?
and plz give us some fair idea about the campus,faculties and the facilities,also shed some light on your summer placements if it has started.

Also, Abhisekh, as u mentioned in one of ur posts, the placement , reputation etc., of the college would depend on the quality of the students.....so that means the snap cutoff shouldn't be too low.....then only will better students be interested......i suppose a snap 2010 score of 97-99 wud do ??

Abhisekh, in one of ur posts u have mentioned that the infra of the college is not that gr8 whereas in the official website it is mentioned that the college has a state-of-the-art sprawling campus atop a misty hill........and really the pics look inviting !!!!! plz tell me that the pics of the building ARE of the actual institute!!!!

your query is genuine but you would be happy to know that SSBM has 25% engineers
apart from that the batch comprises of students with different backgrounds, most of whom are non commerce
the course structure is made such that every student is able to manage their studies very well

So , don't worry at all

i am an engineering pass out and employed in a manufacturing industry since last 3 months..i have no knowledge of finance, banking, economics etc..how difficult would it be for me to cope up the syllabus in ssbm,if i got into it..
wil an engineer fare well at ssbm

ans Symbiosis is a University and it is affiliated to UGC for sure
and individual colleges get AICTE approval..

so i guess i have cleared ur doubt....

@vaib: This being the first time the college will have admission thru snap we really cannot predict what the cut offs will be. But considering the response it should be decent enough.

can u plz tell me that how much we need to score in snap to get a call and is there sectional cut off as well ?

plz tell me whether the online registration has started or not bcz when i'm clicking on to the "online registration" in ssbm's site its not opening rather it is showing that registration has been closed.i have already applied to snap.so plz clarify this .
also tell me whether this degree is approved from aicte or ugc or both?

the college has just started in 2010.
so we being the pilot batch, will be sitting for our summer interns by January
and the college is getting in best of the banks and firms for our interns.

any other doubts?

the admission in this college is only through snap......
and not through CAT, in fact all the Symbiosis colleges intake students through SNAP
and the fees include everything i.e hostel, mess, dress and every thing else.....
laptops are NOT included


the group comprise of 65% experienced guys with all diversified fields
and regarding placements, colleges has committees for placement .....
and they are working on summer interns right now..
The Training and Placement cell is working rigrously to get in the best of the firms for the summers.

and they are evn backed up Corporate Interface Team
so Serious works are going on....

and everybody will be placed for our interns by January
our batch started in August, but the upcoming batches will start probably by june/july

and what's the % of fresher & experienced guys in your batch & how is the quality of current batch .
also tell me when did your batch start,& how is the college's placement cell ,r they putting enough efforts to ensure that the companies will take interest .
i am really interested in banking management ,& i want to pursue my career in this field. so i will definitely look forward to this college.

the course fee is approximately 8 lacs inclusive of everything

Infrastructure:- the infra of the college is not that gr8, but the college has all the facilities that an MBA college has.
Not only this, the college has the best of the faculty ,including the visiting ones
and the students are provided with all the facilities
and den whether its sports, games , library to Wi-fi and projectors in class

Course Curriculum:-
the course is designed taken in consideration of any gr8 institute focusing banking specialization
the subjects are so designed that foundation of the students reading them are built.
it even include research paper presentation on a national level and tasks like Group Book Writing task

Future Prospects:-
the future of any college depends on the quality of brain that walks in
and with the current batch running i can assure you that
whether its summer placements or the final ones,
the students would get the best packages ......


to sum up, there are some flaws in the institute, but in months to come,
it will be one of the sparkling gems in the crown of SYMBIOSIS

its not because i am a student of the college, dats y i am saying this.
but because it trains you on every ground and makes u fit for the banking sector.
