1. Do we get any day off each week??

2. Are the hostel rooms furnished? I mean do we get a mattress, almirah, chair n table???

I was planning to reach there by 18, but if i'll reach there by 16 say for the trip whether i'll be getting the hostel from 16th only???

I'll post after asking the hall manager (or hostel warden ..whatever ). 18th is sure shot. Check the orkut community, there's a thread there on the trip. The Mumbaikars who're going for the trip are more than willing to put up your luggage at their homes!. So this shouldn't be a deterrent. I will anyways check and post here.

There's a trip being planned within your (SOM09) batch from 16th-18th July. Those who're able to arrive by 16th, do go for the trip coz once you join, the academic rigour won't give your any chances for any such grp. trips. (except prolly when you finish the semester but then most of the persons prefer going home).

i mailed at the admissions id...they said you would get the hostel from 18th July itself !!!

also there would be no official communication regarding the receipt of dd..we would get a hard copy of the acknowledgement when we arrive at iit-b....

me too having the same query....but i guess the registration and orientation would be only on the 19th and 20th...we should have free time between the 21st and 24th..am i correct seniors???

regarding reporting...would we be getting hostel accomodation on 18th itself...so that we can shift in with our luggage and stuff on that day itself...seniors could you please clarify...

BTW...did anybody get any mail regarding the receipt of DD...i am just banking on the phone call with the registrar office...

Even i got the same mail and a call letter as a sweet surprise yesterday. have alreeady taken admission in FMS MS.
Will take all the pros nad cons into consideration before making a final decision on the choice; And mail back accordingly by today evening or tomorrow morning..

Though it is still unconfirmed, there is a possibility of a 3rd list coming out by tomorrow morning. The modus operandi will be the same. Mails will be sent individually to the selected candidates.

Will keep the thread updated with the developments.

I was offered admission for SJMSOM on 18th May. I was waitlisted 14 in FMS FT. I have to admit that it was a tough decision to make between sjmsom and fms but I have finally decided to wait for FMS. I am not depositing the fees for sjmsom....so the waitlsit(if any)will clear by one.:)

plz inform on the forum if any one is cancelling his/her admission in NMIMS or looking to cancel in future if he gets thru...or if ya know anyone doin the same...

In my view, you guys can safely take 19th July, 2007 as the joining date and make the bookings accordingly. Make plans to arrive here by 18th only & as Ramesh said, don't come too early i.e. no use coming here before 18th.

i was already wondering the same thing... if we get a concrete date we can go about booking the tickets( the sooner the better, u know how the apex works ) So can we go ahead and book for 18th?

That I am not sure .. But you can always make alternate arrangements ..
and moreover, the classes will start only at 25th (I think). So, you will anyway get atleast 2 days of free time. The other 2-3 days may go for the induction and stuff. So, no need to come too early.

PG Mens Hostel has all single rooms. The girls might have to adjust initially. I think the ladies hostel has a few double rooms as well.

It wasn't a waitlist but another list of selected candidates. There is a slight difference.

-> How many people were there in the 2nd list: 15 GN.
-> How many took admission, no idea buddy & I guess office persons won't tell me that how many drafts have been received till now.

Moreover, two things i don't know:
1. For how many vacant seats these 15 GN calls were issued. But most probabaly, it would've been for <15 vacant GN seats.
2. How many total were there in the 2nd list & thus how many of SC/ST/PH etc. were called.

Chances of another list: very low.
But keep your fingers crossed. 31st May, 2007 is the last date for the selected candidates to send their DDs.

my exams wud complete on 25th june and results would not be out before 1st week of august,,,,
and ill get migration certificate from uni.,, leavin certificate from college only after i get my final year marksheet,and ill get my qualifying degree certificate after three months....ill get the provisionl bout results n migration certi,. but what should i do bout my qualifying degree certificate which i think ill not get before 30th sept. ,,,, plz help,,, thnx in advance,,,,,,,,cheers
