well in first sem u hve Economics (enggineers mostly find it tough) and accounts is not at all tough ....infact u will find it interesting .

we do hve good combination of Finance subjects .....but level of difficulty is not that high .

in Sem 2 we hve Financial markets subjects ......u will love it !!!

In first sem it's all basics .......so no need to worry abt that .

it feels great to have made it to sitm,classes start from june and now various thoughts are coming to my mind,i have always heard that in a b-school 'u count the number of hours u sleep in a month and not in a day' ....well not that i am afraid of being deprived of sleep,but i would love to know how sitm students spend their day/week/month.....a bit of an insight into the life of a sitm student would help us,who'll be embarking on a new life!
how is the accommodation arranged,is it possible to get houses near the college.....
is life any different for students from the system students to that of the marketing ones??

would love to get a response....

wel, SITM till date doesnt offer any laterals..
but be assured to get a damn good placement..
records at SITM break every year and we guys wont be an exception..
hope u wil keep up this tradition
this time we got some companies which we cudnt even think off.. (cant afford to let u kno d names)

and any time work ex people have a definite upper edge than the frehers (no offense freshers..)

but i m in big dilemma..
i already joined the feb session at scit in mba information systems and security...
now as i m thru with sitm...plz help me to decide whether i should leave this or continue this....
my 1st installment has already been paid here and it is been 1 month since then..so wont get my money back which was 1 lakh....
But when i came to sitm for gd -pi i had a talk with a senior (his name was siddharth probably)who also met with the same case last year...but he received his money back as his sitm fees as per the decision of symbiosis society...so after that even i have hopes(he told me that since he shifted from one symbiosis institute to other he got it back) but it is toatl risk.....
so at the risk of me not getting my 1 lakh is it worth to join sitm mba systems and finance..plz guide me...if possible plz pass me your contact number so that i can decide as to what to do...

and seniors here in scit are telling that mba-systems and security is very good....and they also have good placemenyts....while some say that sitm is better...

so i m in utter confusion..plz help me...

and i m B.E- information technology and fresher....

Good to know some of you are really serious about joining SITM and are thinking of discontinuing courses you have already joined...

All I can say is that, joining SITM is the best thing you can do at this juncture but you need to make the decision for yourself.

And regarding the WL status...I can't really predict what exactly is going to happen as clairvoyancy is not my area of expertise :-D

I had explained already how the scenario was last year and rest is upto you.

placements here are good....
but if u have option like iit....then i would suggest take it first....
and sdm has good placements here....
and here we are not suppose to tell abt the placement fig....

if u have no options left then scit is worth to enter..but chk out ur other options...

im selected for syst and finance here, and SDM at scit.
perhaps am not the correct person to advise, but still wud say placements at SITM are much better. that is what i've heard and found till now.. but seniors wud be able to guide u better, u have 1 lakh at stake!
if at all u join, will be glad to meet u!
let me know wat u decide :)

i had called up the sitm office,they said that we dont have to send any documents along with the DD,just make sure that u write ur snap id,name and specialization on the back side of the DD....and be very careful of the 'in favour of' part of the DD no short forms like 'director,SITM' the DD should have the full name of the institute

i would still say u call up the sitm office to clarify ur doubts(020:25674150/25671911)

hey seniors i have one problem i have my waiting list no 6 in sys and finance .and i have to pay my fee in other colegge latest by 27 of march and the new list will be out on 30 of march .if any one of u can let me know that can i get in the list by 26 th of march i will be very thankfull and will be able to save my fees for the other college ,,please any on can help me out !!!!!!!!!!!

Hold on for a sec...I know there are a lot of disappointed faces out there but the process is not over yet so have hope...

1. People in WL - You guys have good chance of making it in the next list. Last time the intake from WL was around 20 (approx.) But again, this time we have a different mode of selection with General/SC/OBC lists so dunno how it will work...Still, keep the faith

2. People not in WL - Wait till the next WL comes out. And there is a chance that if you are among the top 5 you might make it. Again, these are all old trends, this time the quota system has kicked in so i CAN'T GUARANTEE...

3. People who want to get in through Management Quota - Well, can't help you here as you (or your Parent) need to talk to Symbiosis Society directly. A face to face meeting is better than calling up

thanks for your valuable feedback. one interesting i found. i started copying snap id from sitm merit list in siib merit list and found 4 people in merit list or wlist which can be converted. so should i assume that these people will join siib. i m very desparate to know because i myself is in wl for sitm
