Doesn't matter now abhi...I've not been selected. I had a good interview cum GD. 2 years experience, excellent extra-curriculars. Snap score 63.75 (SC candidate). Abs clueless as to why I didn't get through..anyways am not gonna crib. Taking it with a pinch of salt. :wow:;)

All the very best to everyone selected and my prayers for everyone on the waitlist.

BTW, SIOM & SIBM-B are my only calls this season. So plz dont think I have a backup insti in place ;)

As for your reference i'm mentioning it again.....for the past 2 year the waitlist movement had gone till mid 60's..
Howevr for the last season (09/11 batch) it went a bit more, considering the apprehensions in the minds of mba aspirants to delay their plan of doing their mba in the times of recession.
Howeva as per my gut say.....excluding last year trend waitlist movement wud depict the very same pattern as was in any of the earlier year....

yes they certainly do.... the only worry is the snap score which can be a deciding factor for many like me

My experience was pretty good..i had given GD/PI/DPI on 19th of Feb 2010.It absolutely wrong that the people in panel were in ne way lacking skills.and also that they were selecting people who were against the group or something like that..We were grp of 8 and all of us got selected for PI.Why? Because we dint created fish market inside.We allowed each of our group member to speak up and express their thoughts.NO body pointed hands to other one's telling they are wrong and we are right.Every one had their own opinions along with listening capability and understanding the fact that no two people can think the same.So i totally disagree with few people who have written that the candidates with so n so dressing sense etc got selected.thats absolutely wrong.Seniors were quite helpful.They were concerned fr each n every1 not only gals.. they askd everyone to have lunch and relax and all stuff not jst to gals..I interacted with few seniors(gals + boys) all were quite helpful.n guess what i am not a SIOMite.@ seniors Just a query does cumulative score really includes the SNAP test score for final Merit? Please Clarify on this. And does wrk ex in IT really affects the candidature?

so far i havent done it.... hope it wont be a problem... right

Came to office just today, after a wonderful trip to nashik.

I will keep it short. Absolutely fantastic effort by all the current students of SIOM. It was just so amazing. The way everything was organised, the campus, the ever-smiling and helpful seniors, way to go for SIOM. Though the wait was very long, that was understandable since it was a step-by-step elimination process.

Overall, my experience at SIOM was great. And ya, i made it to the DPI.
But i am little worried about my low SNAP score which is 84.
Seniors, can you please tell if SNAP score is considered while giving the final merit list?

PS: The masala chai in SIOM's cafeteria is superb!!

To All Aspirants thinking of joining MBA course this year, be it SIOM or any other college....

pls make sure that you have your college migration certificate with you....

Migration certificate from your prvs university is required by any MBA college at the time of joining........

Process for me was on the very first day i.e. 4th feb 8 am slot,,,all went fine though i had to wait a lot ( 4 hrs to b precise) for my PI result to come out,,it was worth the wait :)

Wanna really thank first yr students for always being thr to help us out in whichever way it was possible.

SIOM is truly coming at par with prmr B schools,,,i really felt some energy flowing in the collg...

From some of the previous posts made by PUYS about dr SIOM experience doesnt prove anything but typical cases of egotism.:shocked:Seniors or the panelists were really considerate and helpful.
Some guy has commented abt boys hogging around girls.. dr was nothing like tat..jus tat dey were doing dr work as a team...If u cant stand the fact tat ppl work in a team with smiling faces..just forget abt "management".
U cant compare SIOM to IIMs but after few years it ll make it to the top..tat too with a focus just on Operations.
I m not sure wthr i ll make it to the coll or not but the entire process at SIOM was really good.

well..as tey say little minds speak louder.
Comparing Expression in a forum with blooging shows ur intellectual level.I have given interview to the evalutors.u r not there. So,by judging i have not expreesed myself shows ur poor analytical skill.I cannot hep ur evalutors if tey cannot understand simple english and start talking in hindi.Now say it louder I am Fool

dude by reading ur posts and the type of english u have used here, i guess even i will talk to u in hindi.... sorry to say but to be a good blogger, u have to be gr8 at the language....
i write stories but that does not mean i go boasting about it everywer.... maybe the panel felt u cudnt speak good english... and i use MAYBE; so no personal comments....
i was a last yr reject, had my own grievances, posted it all on PG but nothing against the college..... see the professors have to evaluate 1000s of ppl and probably they know better how to do it, maybe u know blogging and they dont(i say MAYBE again), but u certainly dont know selection for MBA insti which they surely know....

like everyone has alredy posted, it was timely and all in order.... i will only post the things particular to my case....
Had my GD/PI on 17th feb 10:00am slot
I had essay on the topic The role of news is....; and i wrote pretty decent, used the entire space and was precise.
GD had 9-10 members, the topic was Bucket full of Ice Water;, pretty abstract and i just spoke twice, once to bring the members on track while they were digressing from the topic and second time to put across my view on the topic which no1 possibly agreed to as I couldnt agree with anyone else.... but it was very peaceful and went on smoothly.... i just banked on my skills....

next was a Case Study discussion on Human Psychi... it was someth like Human beings have the obligation to not follow the policies....... something something..... when these policies are not fetching the desirable favors as was expected while they were formed.... something something...;
this is a little simplified, i dont remember the exact case study title as it was 5 lines long...
again the group started and i spoke only twice; I couldnt agree with the group again, so pitched in with my opinion and saved the topic from going to greenhouse gases and global warming.... but i was unheard by the group yet again, dunno who was right but ultimately 3 of us made it till PI.....

and then PI was small yet exhaustive... they asked me all about my work ex, job satisfaction, how Ops MBA is for me, extra currs, anything out of the resume, biggest failure in life, etc etc....
2 on 3 of us made it till DPI which was super cool....
Director ma'm first said tht I looked really fresh and she hadn't seen anyone so fresh all day long:)
then a few questions, went on to my last yr rejection, how OPs MBA fits my profile and a bit of a laughter over my stupid sense of humour....
and then i went to see Pandava Caves with one of the first yr students, and later i joined a few more students for a drink and dinner... then i was back to my hotel... the guys were really nice and this yr the process was very streamlined, obviously it was a PROCESS IMPROVEMENT, especially what Ops MBA is bound to teach u....
hope i make it thru with other puys here....
