My case is also similar to you , I was also in provisional list and got confirmed today.

I believe resigning without a confirmation is not safe . So you may have to wait till 10th , and if your seat gets confirmed , then only put down your papers

I spoke to admission office and also sent an email explaining my case and they are providing some relaxation in joining date in such cases.

I also heard there are 1-2 fresher's also who have their BE final exams and have asked for extension of joining date.

So don't worry , get in touch with admission office ,wait for 10th and keep your finger's crossed.

congrats u have been selected for SIIB-for Intl. biz. IB, I got a mail at 11 am..then it says confirm by today 3 pm on mail... by chance I checked my mail today... this is not done..I havent even recieved a phone call.... bit mismanged i would say by siib...

I would like to know about the future prospect in operation management and the kind of job profile companies are offering at the time of campus.Will my marketing experience arise any difficulties in getting a good job at the time of campus.

Finally,hows life at SIOM?

Operations is a good option for a person who is from a mechanical background as you would be learning more and more things in detail.
Apart from that we have people who are from sales and mktng background so again it is your call whether you really want to get into operations and flourish in your career.

I would like to share something about SIOM (my first convert). Many puys would have already talked about SIOM's selection procedure, helping seniors,placements etc. But today i would like to bring a different picture of SIOM in front of you.

Other than SIOM i also converted Tapmi, Ximb, IMT gaziabad and NITIE. So i had decided to withdraw my fees. I gave them a call at their admissions office. A lady picked up. She told me to send me a letter in hard copy and a copy of the receipt. She told me it will take around 1mnth-1mnth 1 week to get the refund. I did follow the instruction and sent my letter around 30th March. Guess what i got my refund on 2nd May. Right on time as mentioned by her.

Such a gesture from a college really says a lot about it. I really appreciate SIOM for their behaviour and their word. This college will surely be one of the best in the future. Although my journey with SIOM was shortlived but i learned a lot from this college and will always respect it.

u really need to introspact dude....wat kind of work u wanna do in life..
u might be knowing some of the seniors who have done MBA-finance & also some from Ops background...u can talk with them n decide...
but i think its crutial time to decide as future depands up on this decision so make the right one..

From what I know and heard from my MBA friend is that there is more money in Finance as compared to other courses..but with the crown comes the responsibilities..so, if your priority is more package and ready to accept the challenging Fianance you can opt for it..or else continue with Operations

The list that will be out on 24th May, will that be the final list or we will have more after the course starts??

The difference is that the applicants in the provisional list can now pay the amount and their seats will be confirmed on 20th or 21st, if there are going to be cancellations. Thus, they need not wait for another 2 weeks. After allotting the seats to the people who have accepted the offer in the main list and providing the vacant seats to the provisional list candidates, the institute can start the program on 1st June with almost the full strength. If, in spite of the above arrangements, if there are going to be vacant seats, then they may be given to the waitlisted candidates, who will have some more period to pay the fees. Perhaps, they may be forced to complete all the formalities before 1st June.
Anyway, all the best to you, as you say that you are WL 1. I wish that you get it.
