BTech. (Computer Engineering): 70% :D

Class X: 79.2% (ICSE)
Class XII: 75% (CBSE)

I am a fresher but I have very good extra curriculars and have been consistent in my performances.

Extra curriculars range from sports to elocution to organising fests.

Please help me seniors/puys!!! What are my chances for SIBM-P, SIIB and SCMHRD?

You might miss a call due to QA score. But still its worth taking the risk for SIBM-P and SIIB since 98 is a good score

My score varies from 90 to 97 according to various keys:
Following is the split:
LR - 41.5
GK -5.25
QA - 22.5
ENG - 21.25
OA - 90.5

10th std 82.8(CBSE)
12th std 70.2(CBSE)
BE(Mechanical) - 66

I have also got work ex of 3 years in Infosys Technologies!!!
Participated in college and inter college level cultural fest.Have an inclination towards cultural fest.

Do I stand out a chance for achieving a call from SIIB?

Good chance but GK might land you in tricky zone. 90 is good score so you should apply.

99% chance of getting the call from SIIB. Only thing that QA marks might hurt you.

Thanks a lot for your reply. As suggested by you I won't be applying for IB however I will apply for SIOM,SITM & SCIT. Can you give me some idea regarding SIIB (ABM). What was the avg./median package last year? Companies that come for placements etc?

and u can get placement details and list of recruiters for ABM on the site of SIIB.. do some googling yaar..

Ur score is gud enuf to fetch u a call from SIIB, if they follow last year's trend(i.e not considering sectionals) since this year paper was on lil easier side so wat would be the shortlisting criterion no one knows... and there is no hard and fast method to determine.... hope for the best, go ahead fill the form and take ur chance... ATB
Chances are bleak for SIBM-P... but as they say its not over till the final whistle.. hope for the best dude..ATB

Cut - throat chances for siib as GK cut offs may increase but u can keep ur fingures crossed...

u can also apply to sitm, scit and siom if engineering student..

Now my query...should i apply for SIIB-IB? Honestly, I feel the score ain't good enuff. I have ths feeling tht SIIB's cutoffs will be above 90 fr sure considering the easy exam ths time and wd so many ppl claiming to be scoring above 100...pls guide me.

I have done diploma in french from an institute and according to the institute ,'it is recognised by DU".Now ,in the PostGraduation drop down menu ,i have to chose "others"..and "Other" again in others..but later an error measage is displayed saying "please choose PG DEGREE" Since there is no option

i think there is hardly any fix for that!
But if i do not enter my FRENCH diploma ..then wouldn i be in a less advantageous position??

The basic idea is to prove your credentials at the final stage of the process.
Better to project your qualifications keeping that in mind.
Fill the form accordingly..and if there is any space where you can put your ongoing qualifications like this case..do mention it..it will add to your profile.

The Prospectus on page 62 mentions the eligibilty for MBA - AB as -

1. Graduate in Agri Sciences or Agri related discipline (min 50% marks)
   
2. Non-Agri graduates with minimum one year full time work experience only in Agri Business or Agri related businesses.

So my advice is go ahead and apply.
But the advice comes wid a disclaimer that we are unaware of the cutoffs or whether there will be sectional cutoffs or not.
Because SNAP has been easier this time...merit is gonna be notch higher.
It's not correct to think on the lines of the cutoffs of previous year.
Ur admission to SIIB depends on ur performance relative to the performance of others.
Our take is..apply..fight...win.

Work ex will be a consideration while giving the 1st round of interview calls..
You must not overlook the 51 months of work ex and since it is a part of the selection criteria...it MAY compensate for any lacuna in other aspects..
Be optimistic and take a call..!

I am a fresher and have a very good record of extra curricular all through school and college life, can i expect a call(my B.E. %age is worrying me, will that affect my gd/pi call)

Ur SNAP score is gud.
There is a weightage to different things as u can see on website : SIIB - Selection Procedure
Though ur marks in BE are less but u can surely overcome it by shining in other areas.
So dnt loose heart and jump in d battle.

U can take the leap.
I want to reiterate that we dont know of what is going to be the cutoff or whether there will be sectional cuoffs or not.
Ur selection is based on ur performace relative to the performace of others.

am expecting a score around 90 in snap but my GA wil be near 4 or 5 marks..i am a fresher and do SIIM prefer only work ex candidates..? what is the success ratio of the freshers converting the call...please throw light on this issue seniors..
and can i go ahead applying to SIIM ?

Ur SNAP score is gud.
There is weightage to Work-Ex but it is not as if everybody here has work-ex.
Though the percentage of Work-Ex people have increased.
U may see the breakage of students in terms of their work experience on the website : www.siib.ac.in
Look under the preference head : SIIB - Eligibility - Master in Business Administration
My take is u shud apply and try ur best.

I want to know wat IB is all about??? Moreover, could someone tell me that if I take up this course will I be able to diversify myself into some other companies which do not have link with international business later in my life?

Hi Aprita,

International Business means that subjects u will learn here will have International context.
They will be taught to u keeping in mind the Global business perspectives.
IB is not a specialisation unto itself.
The specialisations are Finance, HRM, SCM and Marketing.
But all that u learn here will have tinge of International Business.
U are certainly not aat a disadvantage wid IB tag.
Lot of companies here give same profiles that are available to non-IB MBA courses.
I guess this takes care of ur diversification query.

Bcz no list is give..it is safe to assume that all Axis banks shud accept the payment.
M not sure at this point..but will get back to u.
If u hav an Axis bank near ur place...do give it a try.

I think wid a similar performance in GD/PI...u stand a gud chance to get selected.

I am an Engineer and currently working with a Microfinance Comapny for the last 9 months. I am very keen on rural development and Microfinance and wish to pursue it further. I need your help to help me figure out which of the two courses AGB/ E&E; is aptly suited for rural development. I have looked up SIIB website but I am still not very clear on that.
