Hey buddy I am currently in the first year so part of the 09-11 batch, for our summers the internships being offered are in the range of 15-30k, for the current seniors i.e the 08-10 batch the highest package so far has been 7 lakhs, average 5.5, range between 4.5-7 placements still on so we are expecting these figures to change.

Companies which have been coming are Vodafone, Morgan Stanley, Bharati, Asian Paints, AC Nielson and many more.

Hey dude the answer to your question is yes, if you have not done too well in the SIES written test and done better in your MAT exam the best of the two scores would be considered.

The main difference in the PGDM and MMS course is the flexibility of the PGDM course, there are a lot of add ons which we as PG students get also the course syllabus is updated as per industry requirements. As far as the placements go both the MMS and the PG students sit for the same companies so there is no difference there at all.

Hey dude my first piece of advice to you is stay positive. Yes the college would consider your profile but whether or not you make the final list depends on how you perform on D day.


I cant quantify what type of written score you would need to make the final list because the your GD/PI performance and a lot of other factors are taken into consideration. Do a lot of reading on current affairs so you are better prepared for the GD/PI.


Even if you have not given MAT, you can apply with any All India Entrance exam score so can apply with your XAT or CAT scores, not too sure abt SNAP would have to confirm it and get back to you.

Remember with whatever score you apply too you will get a call for the admission process it all boils down to your performance on that one day.

good to see the queries flowing on PG...lol its been ages since m here n also had to do a quick password reset..
this is anmol here..passed out in 2009 PGDM from SIESCOMS...
wont be able to solve most of ur queries but still will take a shot @ some..
@ Venky...thats a decent profile u've got...i dont think they shortlist candidates for entrances...all who fill forms are eligible to participate...SIESCOMS focuses a lot on ur on-day-performace too...so a mere good profile wudn't be much of a use...

@ ani...u can submit the CAT/XAT score but still the college has an aptitude test of its own which they conduct which all candidates have to go thru..
its a one day activity with apti/GD/PI for all candidates...

1. I learnt the forms are available in december, but when is the actual exam scheduled?
2. How many days does the total entrance procedure beginning from writen exam to PI's span over?
3. When does the new session start?
4. Could i get some sample question papers of previous year's exams?
Am sorry for shooting these bullets of questions, but I find your advice very helpful.

Am confused wht shud I Do. My score is 153 and I will get rizvi for sure and maybe Chetana if I wait till 4th round.

as far as the timings are concerned...colleges starts at around 9 and goes on till max 5 in the evening....and after tht u guys need to sit for ur different projects and assignments to which there are no fixed timings...

but ya....college doors are closed at 9 PM...

Dress code-formals everyday xcept on thursde which giv d liberty of casuals...we got to wear blazers on saturde fr corporate interactn

Lappy n its config-a word of advice fr u...DONT BUY NEW LAPTOP ON YOUR OWN IF U DONT OWN ANY...for al those who already own a lappy cn speak to mgmt 1nce clg strts...we hav gt a Dell vostro 1400 laptop wid gud config n d bst thng abt it is d ready service dat we get in clg itself fr ne prob...

Placements n companies-as been already told earlier, arnd 90-95% of 2009 batch hs been placd wid companies ranging from HDFC standard life,IDBI,Centrum capital,Asian paints,etc...d global slowdwn hs had its effects on most B-schools n SIESCOMS is no diff but we stand far bettr dan most of our peers...no comparisons though:biggrin:
