i am quite pleased to see the activeness of the SIBM B admissions team compared to that of SCMHRD(who haven.t come out to answer queries)... my query of "93 score getting a likely call" has been answered and i am hoping a call..BUT I HAVE 2 MORE QUERIES...

1) your international linkages column of the SITE says coming soon... can u please elaborate on HOW MANY INTERNATIONAL INSTIS are u talking to for collaboration ahich amongst them are the strongest to JOIN SIBM-B for excahnge students??

2) I am person intrested in FINANCE and have a few NCFM certifications as well... SINCE U CAN'T TELL ABOUT THE FINAL PLACEMNTS WHICH HAS JUST BEEN STARTED could u at least tell how has been the summers of this year's(2009) batch in finance....I HOPE SUMMERS WOULD HAVE BEEN COMPLETED BY NOW...

I am getting a score of around 102 with GA -> 10.5 Quant ->31 LR ->36/37 English -> 24/25 . My other details are :> Class 10th :> 86.8 % Class 12th :>82 % (Both ICSE) Engg. :> 63.5 %(Pune University). i passed out in 2009 itself and am still waiting for joining even though i am also handling family business on the sides . I have heard that profiling for SIBM Bangalore,Pune and SCMHRD pune is pretty tough . plz tell me if i stand a chance or not . am really confused and scared right now. really wanna join a good B school and Symbiosis being one of the best universities i am really hoping to get through . need ur guidance :)

you are at the right place to ask any query related to SIBM B!

I will put across the ture figures for you....in terms of faculty, i bet for any best B school across nation for its standards....we have major of our faculties coming in from IIMs....so we are absolutely happy about it....
in terms of placement, scene is not very comfortable yet. for 2nd batch summer placements more than 50 companies have already visited us and the process is still on....in terms of final placement, the season has just started with about 2-3 companies....! but we, students are happy the way things are going because, we have left no gap to get the best to our campus and we are very sure about things getting better!

I have a query about the SIBM,B'lore form.
I have done grad - B.com hons from DU. Besides that, I am now pursuing ICWA and have completed Intermediate Stage I. In the SIBM form, there is an option of mentioning ICWA under Post Grad. However, since I havnt completed it but done till Intermediate I, I would like to know can I still go on and write it? should I mention it...will ICWA add to my profile?
I was advised by crazzy4mba to leave the passing year blank instead of entering it as 2010 ( this is the latest possible year), however entering the date of passing is compulsary...what should I do now? :(

I am not sure of the Tab problem you have. Try any other browser. Seems to be some technical prob.

1. Giving 2 professional reference contacts would suffice.
But, can i know, why is there a problem in giving 3 contacts?

2. A word limit of 50 is kept so that the students dont write Ramayana & Mahabharta, simultaneously they should not write just a single line.
How u understand?

3. If you are paying thru Credit card: then you do not need to submit/send anything to the college - you will receive a confirmation stating your amount has been successfully received by us.
Only in case you are paying thru Demand Draft, you need to submit/send the DD to college.

1. I am currently not working, so I had to contact my managers and let them know that they are being given as my contact. One of them havent replied yet . So the query.

2. Ya I understood that it can exceed a little but should not be a fairy tale

3. Dont I need to send the printout of the appication form also? The instructions in the form was to send the copy to the college and this is the case for SIOM also. SIOM I confirmed that I have to send the form.

n for final selection weightage is:-
50% - SNAP Score
50% - GD, PI, Workex, Acads

cutoff was 69.75. no sectionals were considered, bt the same cant b denied this yr

Could you please address my query? I have already posted twice.

1. Is it required to give 3 professional reference contacts info necessarily? I have given 2, is it enough?
2. My SOP exceeds the 50 word limit and the form is accepting it. Is it ok?
3. I need to take the print out of the application form and send it. Along with it I have to attach the online payment authentication. What do I need to send for this?.

1. Giving 2 professional reference contacts would suffice.
But, can i know, why is there a problem in giving 3 contacts?

2. A word limit of 50 is kept so that the students dont write Ramayana & Mahabharta, simultaneously they should not write just a single line.
How u understand?

3. If you are paying thru Credit card: then you do not need to submit/send anything to the college - you will receive a confirmation stating your amount has been successfully received by us.
Only in case you are paying thru Demand Draft, you need to submit/send the DD to college.

Guys, for the people like me who does not have any known person in any Symbi colleges, the website of the college is the best source of imformation, from where we decide to apply or not. It's very sad to see so many bugs, which leads me to improper information or no information at all. And I am not using any other browser like Mozilla or Netscape or Chrome. I have been using the latest version of IE always, presently IE8.
I have 55 months of exp and I was looking at your batch profile with people >=3 yrs of exp. And wht did I get. A list of all the people from 0 month exp to 40 months exp. I hope those search criterias provided in the batch profile page are there to fufill some requirement, but that is not fulfilled.
The site is full of javascript errors, which prevents many data from being displayed to the user.
Now please don't tell me that I need to delete my cookie, clear my cache and use the latest version of IE. I have been into website developement only from the last 55 months. It will be great if you rectify your website issues before the admission closes.
I don't know, if you would agree to this or not that in today's world the website of an entity reflects several characteristics about that entity. Having a site with bugs leaves a very bad impression on the end user. And your end users are the prospective students who are planning to apply to your college.

Dude just a small suggestion..Whatever you are saying is correct but no one from SIBM is going to read your comment on pagalguy...So better you right a mail to them...may be they will notice then....

Hey Raj,

as per your 'predicted' score, you should invite a call from SIBM B...in either case, do not forget that cut offs depend upon the performance of your fellow exam takers...so wait for the best!
its not only the scores that matter, any other parameters like work ex, extra currics also would have certain weightage in determining the final score!! so your scores are not just the source ofconverting a call!

What are my chances of getting GDPI call from SIBM Bangalore? Also if one gives his/her best shot at GDPI, then can he/she covert the call at this marks? Or does SIBM Bangalore lets the high scorers take the honours???
