@addrija- SCMHRD publishes report as per IPRS which is followed by IIM A , hence it takes time for report to be audited by CRISIL. Thats why the delay. Btw the report is available now on SCMHRD's website.

@yatin - I'll hv 2 see if i get a chance 2 do that....but as far as i know 2 students are leaving scmhrd after joining....so if dey vacate their seats there might be a waitlist movment!

looking at the syllabus .. n the 6 sigma n sap thing .. im really tensed its gonna be a nightmare .. tougher than sibm ... any idea .. iv heard that they get us just its basics .. is it true or we have to get the whole dose of it ... being commerce background its quite tough o dissolve these substances

I always maintained that SCMHRD was FANTASTIC in the application, pre snap stage. good but not as good in the pre GDPI stage, but something went horribly wrong in the post GDPI stage.

credit where credit is due. this is one of the few responses in the post GDPI stage that has actually soothed nerves and left aspirants satisfied. well done and hope that the insti implements your suggestions from the next batch onwards. after all, if it does, it will be a symbiotic situation and the insti will regain the faith of many aspirants which is easily eroded by lack of transperancy.

n moreover we need to thank you & nithin santosh for all your support during GE,PI process. It was an experience atleast for me,from delhi to pune via train. Than quality assistance from all the senior over there.
We can understand it was an insti call to disclose or not.Enough discussion over that. Ab nahi hua to kya karre,leave we have to move on.:cheers:

SCMHRDian my friend, its not about being "selected" or "rejected". Its about a transparency level that a good college is expected to maintain. Trust me, just for once (though its hard to believe that you will), SCMHRD's way of giving result phone calls, the imaginary pool of selected students, the lack of courage to display the wait list numbers, the so called seniors disclosing "not selected list of candidates" on PG, and the college not finding tym to update the portal are few instances that raise a serious doubt over the transparency level of "YOUR COLLEGE".

Anyways, happy studying mate, enjoy life to the fullest, after all you also must have worked really hard for "1 year" on studies to reach this level. I will assume in the meantime that there is probably something better in store for me.

Trust me, just for once (though its hard to believe that you will), SCMHRD's way of giving result phone calls, the imaginary pool of selected students, the lack of courage to display the wait list numbers, the so called seniors disclosing "not selected list of candidates" on PG, and the college not finding tym to update the portal are few instances that raise a serious doubt over the transparency level of "YOUR COLLEGE".

Ok than y students were called on the basis of snap score for ge/pi? Y did nt u cal them on basis of profile and created a pool in starting itself and kept a min requirement for snap score? Is it fair when u choose a person to replace a person frm same backgrnd irrespective of his snap score/ge/pi/wrk ex.

Such thing has not been mentioned. Imagine when you filter top 2000 students and add there scores there will be a pool where the aggregated score varying fractionally ... in that fractional variation, we look at profile ...

FYI SCMHRD started giving SNAP based cut offs from 2011-13 batch only, so you can understand how much importance is given to profiles here.


The fault was when last year we did not disclose this process. We have cleared it now.

When SNAP paper was horrible this yr (with no fault of SCMHRD) .. there were 1000s of students posted here only hoping SCMHRD puts more emphasize on profiles. Now it's the opposite.

As I said before, one group will always have reasons to be dissatisfied ... But we welcome criticism ... I am here in this thread only to find some genuine problems which can be fixed

Dude, congrats for being an SCMHRDian. All the best and I hope you scale great heights.

One more thing my friend...dont get emotional...stop defending a place where you have not even started....

Check with your seniors if you can:
are they supposed or allowed to disclose the rejected candidates list on the web on a platform like PG, if yes, its an amazing insti, students get such rights...great?

If possible, ask yourself, what must be a reason to first change the deadline of form submission and secondly the reason for not disclosing any wait list numbers. Thirdly, forget the portal, they call up students, "Aap hamare lucky draw ke winner hai, u are selected". Why cant this B school hire a staff easily available in the market for Rs. 5k to update the portal...

No hard feelings mate, I am still wait listed, but trust me, there are a lot more grey areas than expected.

I was a bit inactive in this forum over the last one and a half months or so because of final semester examinations and project submissions etc. I came back today and I was shocked to see people maligning the name of this institution by saying utter rubbish, and why? just because they haven't got through the waitlist or the waitlist hasn't moved???

First things first, I just wanna ask you ppl one thing? Are you seriously MBA aspirants or u r doing an MBA just because you saw your friends doing the same or due to parental pressure? If any of the two mentioned reasons in the case, I accept your case on the ground that you have a false perception about the course.

But if that is not the case, I just wanna ask one thing. Why? My heartfelt sympathy to those who couldn't convert or had been waiting anxiously for these 2 months waiting for a convert only to face rejection later but is this the way to vent out your frustration? It has been repeated umpteen times in this forum that there is a different selection criteria as far as waitlist is concerned. Still there are people asking repeatedly about why the waitlist number is not given. Why will an institute change it's policy? And SCMHRD is not a run-of-the-mill MBA college. Do a bit of a market survey and you'll see for yourself how reputed the college is in the corporate sector. And if you have that much complaint regarding thhe movement of waitlist and you expect something "fishy" is going on, I just wanna ask you ppl one question, have you ppl ever thought whether there is anything fishy regarding the normalization process applied in computation of CAT scores? That I guess is more fishy than SCMHRD's waiting list and if not more, of equal gravity. Even the normalization process applied in NMAT score computation, isn't that fishy? Think ppl think.

And regarding placement, do you ppl consider b-schools as placement agencies where you walk-in, deposit fees and roam around for 2 years and after that, you'll be placed in Proctor & Gamble? If dats your conception, I really doubt you ppl's maturity level for an MBA. You ppl are busy discussing about those "unplaced" students (data collected from you ppl's posts only, not my own conclusion) but no one is discussing about the companies that came, the profiles they offered and the people who walked away with a good job. And it is being repeatedly said that admissions committee members are away on summers still they are being mocked at by some people. What showcase of class!!

And to end on, if you ppl you arre far more better than SCMHRD's students, you are free to take another shot at CAT,XAT,etc and next time, dun apply to scmhrd. simple. I dunno what joy you derive by maligning the name of an institute. Even I cudn't crack CAT but never have i maligned the institutes under cat even though upon deep inspection, it will be found that even they are plagued by problems.

it is not something like this insti is bad n al. This insit has some insane policies which are out of my bound,i am rejected kewl in that.If i would have got to knw this 2 months back things woud have been better n smooth now,rather dan waiting blindly for waitlist moment without any clue.. this is ridiculous.
2nd tym i dn want myself to b in same situation.
Either i am in or out,that should b clear in 1 simple shot.Ample of colleges are there who disclose such things candidly,i woud prefer dose in future.If SCMHRD is not interted in such way kewl I am out.
2,3 saal baad mera bhi kahi ho hi jana hai n SCMHRD would also incorporate 240 students in upcoming batches.SO NO big deal for any of the one..

I have just converted SCMHRD IM. Now the problem is that i have also converted GIM and waitlisted in few others.
Please advice puys whether to join SCMHRD or not. I am in a real dilemma.
I have 18 months of exp in Larsen and Toubro but now i am interested in Finance.
Seniors please give me the details of summer placement of the first batch.Means Stipend and PPO if any

Dude their is the ans in your question itself... You interested in finance then no use of ending up in IM.... No doubt you should take up GIM ...:)

No i dnt knw abt avg, bt some of them r getting decent stipend from 10k to 20k, i got to knw this when i had a chat with a senior

nobody can tell you about placement as the course commeneced in 2011. Scope can be in various sectors like power,roads,highway,real estate,etc. seniors are doing summer interns in good companies. Current batch consist of 15
Actually joining course depends upon you, what do u want after mba? Long term goal, current profile, do u really nead mba in infra?
