Well I am kicking of this thread for all those who are planning to enter in one of the unique IT-B School in India- Symbiosis Center for Information Technology, Pune.

SCIT, a constituent of Symbiosis International University (SIU) offers 2-year full time residential Master of Business Administration (MBA - ITBM) programmes.

Programme Objective : MBA in Information Technology Business Management (ITBM) aims at developing Management professionals for IT Businesses and its specialized streams. The programme builds Management skills and reinforces IT skills to create Leaders, Managers & Entrepreneurs in IT products & services domain. This programme will also enable students to gain in depth knowledge in any one of the niche elective categories and courses viz. Information Security (IS), Networks & IT Infrastructure (NITI), Software Solutions Management (SSM), and Systems (SYS).

IS addresses designing, developing & evaluating security solutions towards an information-secure and compliant organization. NITI specialisation aims at proposing, managing contemporary and integrated IT infrastructure solutions adhering to standards & compliances. SSM's main focus is on proposing, designing and delivering quality software solutions in a changing technical & business environment. SYS looks at mapping client's expectation with project deliverables towards managing and delivering quality compliant and innovative IT products and services.

Programme Pattern: Total 4 semesters with industry internship after the first year. Each semester has Core Courses which are mandatory and Elective Courses which could be chosen from 5 different categories viz. General, Information Security, Networks & IT Infrastructure, Software Solution Management and Systems.

Total Credits: 100 (Students may specialise in a particular elective category other than GENERAL, if the total number of elective credits exceed 20).

This thread is suppose to answer all your queries start from scratch till the point you enter this unique institute. First of all frm dis year onwards SCIT has changed the course curriculam a bit. N now MBA is being offered as ITBM degree where-in u will have ISS, GM, SSM, NITIE & SYS as an elective. So say if u opt for ISS u will get MBA ITBM with ISS specialization.

Me too received the mail, but have little confusion regarding the date to pay the fee, its written 21st May in attached docs, but in the mail they have mentioned confirm your acceptance of admission with necessary requirements before 24th May 2010.
