Hi my snap test was pretty well. Expecting around 60 - 70 or more.
I am from Mumbai & from Open Category.

I havent yet applied for any institutes.

My profile (in %):
SSC - 61.06
HSC - 57
TYBCOM - 63

Aggregate all 3 years of graduation: 47.6

Work Exp. -

13 Months - Local firm in Mumbai (Before Graduation)

3 Months - Syntel Inc. (NASDAQ Listed) (After Graduation)

Total W.E. = 16 Months

I thought it is better to ask some one who knows more before paying the amount for institutes.

Can any please tell me that from seeing the above score (Bad scores) & work exp., which institutes should i apply?
Please reply to me because, today (11-Jan-2010) is the last date to apply for some institutes.

i am applying for the institute through dd. i got the dd printed but there's a mistake . instead of taking the dd as " Director ,Symbiosis Institute of International Business " , i took the dd in favor of "Director ,SIIBl ".. . i want to know that is it okay if i send the dd as it is or i need to change it to exact name. ? (will my dd be excepted if i send it as it is)..

i know its ridiculous and absurd to ask such a question , but its necessary. i live in a very isolated place n i have to travel miles to reach nearest bank to get my work done.

what should i fill in these column - Aggregate percentage on Qualifying Degree
?? should i fill " apeared or 74.83%"

what should i fill here - Qualifying Degree for Admission ?should i fill 'btech'?

as far as your question regarding Ranking of the courses available in SIIB, is concerned, i must say that it is a bit difficult task to decide which one is better.
see International Bizz, Agri Bizz and E&E; all three are vary different to each other and also these caters to different sectors in the industry. therefore comparison between these three won't be justified and will be against the spirit with which SIIB started this.

Again as far as cut-offs are concerned, as i have already stated in earlier reply that there is no cut-off as such. let me put it in this way,

calls = profile + score in SNAP + academics

so work-ex, track record of acads play a crucial role in the calls.

so forget about cut-offs , work hard to get as much as you can.

Last year SNAP messed up there result very badly and there was so much inconsistency in marks that I lost the enthu even to fill the form..:|

I was a victim of the same, but lemme put it this way....
If India performs badly in one T20 match, does the entire nation boycott the next???
The answer is evident from TRPs...
SIU has ensured that it would be providing an answer key from this year onwards...
Ive been repeatedly ensured by many people that this debacle was a one off incident, and wont happen again..
After all Form is temporary, but Class is permanent!!!

And nobody can question the class of the Symbiosis (atleast Top 3)institutes...
So see you on the SNAP paper.. do fill the form!!

1. Cutoffs depend on the difficulty level of SNAP test and hence differs every year. SIIB's Management never discloses the cutoffs so quoting a a figure would be difficult and also the cutoffs displayed by different coaching institutes can not be trusted.
