well no hard feelings but i don't think you could get pumba.i m saying on the basis of last years cutt-off as last year the final cut-off pumba at AI level is AI rank:-487 and marks:-131/240

Have you checked MITSOB as option? Their placement record are very good. Faculty and course is also good. It is AICTE approved PGDM course.

well your university rank is good.so u have a chance for pumba but for mumbai i feel its not worthy for a good college.so i feel you should aim for pumba maybe in first or positively in second round

please suggest some good colleges in mumbai which i can get and better than sinhgad (vadgaon) in pune.because i am getting sinhgad and MIT.so if any better collge than MIT and sinhgad that i can opt for in mumbai then please tell me.

thanks for replying deepak76,but as i have checked indsearch official site,they don't have finance courses and pumba is out of my reech due to shortage of marks:sneaky:so my last option would be mitsom for mba in finance.
Does mitsom have a decent finance course and what is their average package???????

For MBA Finance INDSEARCH, PUMBA and MITSOM are good. They have good faculty.

Better option could have been PGDM at MITSOB considering their placement, course and faculty. But their website shows Finance is full. But you can still call them and check.

I am Naveli with 6 years of experience in Business Analyst type role in IT company. I have done B.E. in E&TC; from a very good college in Pune University.. I love maths and my logical analysis is good..

I am stuck up badly in my current profile which does not give me much in return to my efforts. So I have decided to take a chance in MBA. Which will take my career and my low confidence to a better level.

Currently I am on Sabbatical leave from June 1st with my husband at USA. And I want to utilise this time in preparing for MBA exam majorly for CAT , SNAP, CET.. Preferebly CET/SNAP.. coz i have location constraint.. and I can not study anywhere else except Pune..

But I am not confident friends.. I am not sure if doing MBA is the right decision or not.. I dont think executive MBA will help.. I have heard it should be done after 8-9 yrs of exp plus it is very expensive compared to PGDM.
Friends please help me boost my confidence in myself..

Also, scored a final 122 on CET. Can someone tell which all colleges i will able to apply through CAP?

MIT SOB is always better than any other college in MIT campus, if you consider placements and industry orientation.

And they have separate tests for admission, its not under MH CET.

I think, I don't need to tell u that u will get Sydenham (high possiblity) or Welingkar (almost 100% chances)......u have very good score.....

the same kind of feedback i had got last year before MBA admissions....

I feel that, the primary reason behind this is not the course content or colleges in Mumbai......but the surrounding or kind of people around u......

Pune is good for Technical Education......but Mumbai is good for Management education.......

In Mumbai, there is better scope to improve ur comm. skills, management skills, contacts and many other things...

I heard that its better to take any MUMBAI college than college from PUNE (Except PUMBA) for OHU student .

I cm to kne abt Sinhgad, MIT n indira but student feedback of sm of my frnds is not good for that colleges.

Why so ?? I am OHU student for MUMBAI & PUNE. plz suggest me what to do.

INDSEARCH is the first and only autonomous MBA college under Pune university. (IMDR was). Director of INDSEARCH is also currently Dean of Management at Pune University. They do not advertise much as it is a small old institute with good academic standards.

Rather than INDIRA I would suggest MITSOB considering their placement records, faculty, course, etc. INDIRA has lost it's shine in last couple of years after their director resigned. For MBA VIM or MITSOM could be your choice.
