Please please please take the pain of going thru the previous posts before posting any query.
this question of yours about the ranking of institutes is being discussed on a separate forum. and as far as the cut off is concerned, you can visit the dte website wherein they have provided a link for previous year's cutoffs.
u can browse thru that archived data and based on your state merit rank you can analyze your standing yourself.

I met my friend yesterday who is doing MBA from MIT-MBA. He told me that now onwards placements in MIT will be centralized. So MITSOM people will not get any preference when it comes to placements.:-(

Placements will be centralized for MITSOM, MIT Collg of Engg Dept of MBA and MIT-MBA.

I'm almost sure about it. But if any of your friends is in MIT then do ask him just to confirm.:)

I will try to find out whatever I can. Though, I have heard its name earlier. I do not think it falls in the league of PUMBA or even MIT, Sinhgad and Indira. I will check if possible.

I have given MH cet bt my score (141)is nt that gud ti get Indira IIMP..so m palnning to apply for Indira school of business studies ...ISBS..

WELL... if u have decided to do mba this year. no one can stop you. if u end up doing mba or pgdm from indira it doesnt matter.. as the placements are common for both. even if u want to do pgdm from indira.. go only with wakad campus. rest are new and non-promising.

Sorry but I am troubling you people a little more. I have asked this query many times at different threads earlier and you already know it. It is not correct to ask same query again and again and I should have patience. But, I am not getting this info anywhere.

We all know that IIMs are at the apex of all the management institutes. But, if we want HR, we might prefer XLRI above it. Similarly, we know that PUMBA is good institute. But, is it good enough for HR, IB and Finance as well? The placement records say it has an avg of 4.0L. But, if marketing, systems and operations are supposed to be good and have good faculty and placements, then should it be that IB, HR and Finance have bad placements and faculty?

Location : Not good if you want to enjoy "college life". Its on Pune-Mumbai highway.

Infrastructure : Good. (I've visited the campus last week only.) Nothing special though.

Staff : No idea.

Placements : Everyone says they are good, so they must be. But just to let you know...placements of all Indiras are centralized. So, students from all the colleges of Indira will be competing with you. Average package is not great. Go through other PG forums, you will find details regarding this.


This is all my perception. Visit the campus if you can....it will give you much better idea.
Take you final decision as per your needs and convenience.

kasturi i think if u hv a good score in cat than you should try for nia pune.it is really a worth of option and its admissions are still going on.

i think niasom popularly known as nia pune is a grt option as it is government undertaking and placements are also very good with awesome campus
