Can we have an official word on whether at all there would be a second waiting list.
The website has no such info.

I think there would be a second list....but don't expect it to be as big as the first one.....
I guess it would include the seats of guys(and gals too ) in first list who are not joining.

JMET Rank - 19.... u mite probably wonder what went wrong...that I 'managed' just a WL4 with all this! Here it comes..

GD - Horrible (fish market...really..miniscule contribution)
PI - Forgettable one (the 'tone' was set ... with me being "caught behind" supposedly what were the most imp sets of Qs - on stats n maths. n then My QA score of 20 odd %ile in jmet.. reassured the panel about their qualms...tried to salvage with other inputs.. but they seemed convinced b4 waving me good-bye...) In the end...guess it was my rank n work ex..if anything saved it for me! Phew!!!...wat an experience so far!!

Hope to see the other batchmates...esp the bg'lore n delhi junta soon!

Anyway , i guess the activity will start again coz waitlists are going to start clearing... ATB to those in the WL...

Btw, seniors, since there's quite a no of u'll in Blr for the Summers , i think we should probably plan something soon. I guess in the next week , we'll get a clear idea of all the SOMs from Bangalore once WLs is cleared, so we can plan a big get-together.... Btw , if you guys need anything during ur stay at blr, feel free to get in touch with us, the yahoo group has our contact nos..

the WL results were out yesterday morning only. they confirmed the result on the phone. today they've updated the website. but haven't received the mail yet...!!?? :-/

Well there will be 11 of us in banglore,including me and manpreet of PG.Our joinin date is 2nd may so most of us are REACHing there on 1st. Would definately love to meet all ya guys there.....so count me in for any further meet.

There are quite a few marketing profiles offered...in IT you can get a IT sales profile, also quite a few FMCG & manufacturing cos. are showing inclination to see whether candidates fit their requirements for marketing...

Cant compare with MICA...we are not the right ppl here to do so...you need to do your analysis...however, please take opinions that count so that at the end you make an informed decision...All the Best!

I have a small query ......
Seniors pls help me out......

I've got an offer from MICA as well as IITB.
Now MICA is the ultimate choice for Advertising and iitb for systems.

I thought since i wanted to go fr marketing,mica wud be an appropriate choice.But now every1 i know is out to prove to me that mica is a preferred choice only if u r interested in advertising.
I categorically dont want to go for media but for a marketing manager/brand manager profile,again not in a media or advertising field.

However,as i am inclined to go for a brand mgr profile and MICA has a specialised course for it.......im damn confused!

Keeping this in mind,could anyone please throw some light on what MARKETING profiles are offered at IITB and also offer their opinions regarding mica v/s iitb.

The last day to deposit at MICA is the 20th and its already 18th!!!!!!!!!

Dont worry about the cycles guys . Every year in the month of July thousands of young fresh baccha logs join IITB (Including you guys........ hehehe of course not bacchaas ) . And for these young guns ....the cycle store wallahs come in droves to sell new as well as 2nd jand cycles. You will have a choice of choosing amongst many models and colours . All these stalls are put up in IIT . SBI , ICICI , Airtel , Hutch etc also put up their stalls in the campus during this time .
