What about the placments of HR in both the colleges ?

Looking out for different colleges and their reviews.

@poohki:Both are on same level when it comes to pharma management(better u go for general specialization as both the college wont provide u placement opportunity for pharma/ bio tech) .. but in general pillai has the upper hand..

No idea whether if there is a placement issue going on in the college!!!!
but let me tell you one thing my friend, no colleges can guarantee you placements you have to work hard for the job interview.

hey u can get both clgs in upcmng lists,bt both clgs fall on the same line,nt much difference .

@preeti: you can try for atharva institute of management. Its a decent college for MBA and there are four seats vacant for Other than HU OBC candidates and the cutoff was 103 in CAP 1!!!!!

It seems difficult for you to get in to the college you have mentioned. There are no seats available for other than Home University OBC candidates in pillai college and in case of Bharti Vidyapeeth's Institute there are only 3 seats left for other than Home university OBC candidates.

I think the Fees is Rs.1,75,000 !! You can call them at the numbers Which I have mentioned and confirm the same !!

pillais n father agnels r almost on same level ...plz dont think about bhartiya vidaypeeth. ITM kharagr does not comes under mumbai university (Plz confirm it).i bet u will get a good college if u wait till 4th round .If possible then mention ur percentile so that i can help u in better way

ohhh k k .. i hd been 2 pillai 2 dayz back 2 inquire , n i saw they had the list of 1st cap rounds n total 24 students had got n mine waz the second last !! so m kinda concerned shud i take the risk of going 2 the 2nd round since i didn fill up minority quota forms !
dude 1 more thing , does father agnels , pillai's , ITM khargar, and bhartiya vidyapeeth lie on the same level ??? or whoz better dan whom ?

For the foreign study program u have to pay extra 3 lakhs Rs.. College faculty for marketing is good n placement is also on average side.. My advise to u would be try for second round if u r eligible.

companies generally dn't offer best jobs in smaller B-schools as all cream students are in premier college.....no college has 100% placements even if they claim so...go and meet students of the college...take their insight...and take decision..ask at least 4-5 ppl..

If u want to do MBA to upgrade ur package and profile then this might not be a good place for u...but again r u ready to try for the best college in next CAP rounds or may be next year..if u have 2 yrs workex then u will benefit more next year...if u do MBA from avg college this will stick to ur name for the lifetime..

think what ur priority is..just mba degree..or degree+better profile+ good package..

I can tell u this much...decision is yours...Let me know ur decision..

i will wait till the 3rd round. This time the cut offs are low so will wait and watch. I expect a package of 5 lakhs at least in marketing be it engineering (B2B) or FMCG I dont care as long as I get into a good organization and have a good brand name on my CV.

this comes to my surprise...Pillai has got max salary of 22 lacs in 2009...
even sydenham has max of 12 lacs..Is this true...I got this info from college website's mandatory disclosure...

As the highest package was Rs.22 Lakhs & the average was Rs.4 lakhs, it seems that majority of the placed students got a package of Rs.3.4-3.5 lakhs....But still, the figure seems to be quite good considering that better-rated colleges like Agnels, Vivekanand & ADMIMS can't boast of such figures...Hope it's true!...But can anyone tell about the total no. of students placed(in % terms)?
