The amount it could affect depends on how you could defend it in the interview. So be prepared for the answer.

You may require around 27/34 to have a chance at KJ or Wel

Give ATMA/Feb MAT and CET. Can start iwht R S Agarwal, Verbal an dNon Verbal reasoning and with basics of Mathematics.
You can start you preparation.
Exams will be held only in Jan Feb .. so you have still lot of time with regards to forms. But do start preparing.

Welingkar has a small bias towards PG course .. so u do get some preferential treatment, but u are also paying a lot more for the same. In the industry reputation of both MMS and PG course is the same. So it does not matter .. though usually students prefer MMS over PG.

You will have to register for the same in the month of May 1st week and then attend the GDPI as per schedule.

Welingkar MMS / PUMBA looks almost impossible.
SIMSREE Gujju quota is also difficult.

149 + 4 = 153.
You may require 34/34 for JB
Around 30/34 for Sydenham
Around 26/34 for KJ / Welingkar

1 year gives how many marks?

To get 2 marks you need more than 3 years experience in a listed company post your gradualtion.
If you have more than 1 year experience you get 1 mark provided it is in a listed company.

You might require 24/34 in GDPI. Your rank could be between 40 and 50 in the state.

As far as last year's experience goes, MAT will be given same weightage as other exams.
PG forms for some of the colleges are out like MET, Dalmia, IES, etc.
Home univeristy student can convert MAT score .. in that case they will be taken for All India seats

Difficult to get either of the two college with your score.
You can convert your MAT score .. but that score will be considered only for All India Seats which has a lot of competition.

Changeing the centre may not be possible now. Wait for the clarification from DTE. You may just miss the above mentioned colleges. But try your best you still have a small chance.

No chance for getting into a good college. Try applying to PG courses of different colleges.

Yes .. Very difficult to get admission in a good college at this score. REcommend you to apply to PG courses of some of the colleges .. that should help.
For GDPI .. read editorials of newspapers and try practicing .. may be with a group of friends.

JBIMS : 150 H 143 H 156 O (3 seats = 2 home and 1 other)

Sydenham MMS : ( 0 seats)

Welingkar : 140 H 148 H ( 2 seats = 2 home + 0 other)





Now my Question is Why the number of seats are differing every year although quota specified for NT 3 candidates is 2 % thruout...

is there any logic via which distribution of seats takes place????

The value of 2% of number of seats comes in decimals. So the DTE may vary the seats a little every year to average out

Syd MMS looks difficult. But Syd PG you can get if you score around 30/34 in GDPI

You should be able to get Fr. Agnel, St. Francis, Atharva, ... with a good score in GDPI

Try also applying to PG courses of Damia, Chetna, MET, IES

As far as MMS course goes .. give you best shot for GDPI and you should be able to get in somewhere.

Regarding the likely cut-offs, I tried contacting the IMS people and they suggested me that a score of 170 would get me into JBIMS (which even I think is not practical). Also, in one of the other threads in Pagalguy the cut-off is predicted to be as 174-176 (which I personally think is more practical). So, I would like to know how did you derive at a cut-off of 179 for JBIMS when last year the cut-off was 166?

A probable way:
Factors to be considered are
1)your current rank/merit number
2)the probable average score in the GDPI of people around your score
3) the number of people likely to not appear for GDPI(since they take place after all the results are out)

We need to take the past data into account for the analysis. For the past 2 years, a score of around 32 in GDPI + par would convert JB at a percentile of 99.80(Rank around 100-150) eventual rank around 45

This year since a lot of people appeared for CET, a percentile of 99.80 would be equivalent to rank 150-175.
Correspondingly 99.83 has to be taken as base, and then adding 32 to it, the expected cutoff comes to arounf 179(Could be more)
last year a lot of people with high scores in written got less in GDPI (high co-relation between one particular centre and low GDPI marks!)

Bottom line?
Cutoff should be 179-180
