yeah sure....i have filled those options last time..u can call dte and send mail through your message inbox to double check...

are u sure i can fill in the same colleges in all 3 rounds?? coz as far as i know.. n from what i read on the dte website, i understood that every round requires new options to be filled in.
so.. what wud u suggest?? i keep putting in jbims, sydenham mms, sydenham pg, welingkar, somaiya in all 3 rounds if i am not at all looking at other colleges?

u can put these colleges in each of the rounds subject to avaliability of seats....no problem in repeating same colleges and u have to fill these in the next round....u know its a very slim chance and so prepare hard and come stronger next year

Hi Guys my total score is 157..I have filled my option form today..Below are my options.

1. JB
2. Syd
3. Syd pg
4. KJ
5. Welingkar
6. PUMBA
7. SIES
8. Dalmia
9. MET
10. Chetna
11. IES
12. Xaviers
13. Thakur


I am sure I wont get into the first 8 options..Dont know about my chances in next 3. But I feel I have fair chance in Xaviers.

I also have a minority quota in Dalmia which is coming out with its list on 16th but I dont know how much chance do I have there.

I have a few questions in my mind
1. What are my chances in MET and IES?
2. If I get Xaviers alloted in CAP round 1, should I take it or should I wait for second round. If I wait for second round, what are my chances to get Xaviers again.
3. At the time of reporting at the institution alloted, do we need to pay the whole fees amount and secure the admission? If I want to withdraw my admission, how much time does it take to get our original documents and paid fees back?

i may sound unrealistic when i say that i wanna fill up only JBIMS, sydenham, welingkar and somaiya in the CAP rounds coz i may not actually stand a chance in any of these wid my score and rank. but will still wanna stick to these colleges.. n if i dont get thru anywhere among these 4, i would probably try again next year.

my query is.. if i fill up all these 4 colleges in the first round itself, n i dont get thru anywhere in the first round, can i still put the same preferences in the second and the third round as well? or will i have to put in new preferences in every consequent round? if i will have to put new preferences only n wont be able to repeat the first four options again, how would u suggest that i fill my options? shud i just put JBIMS and sydenham in the first round, welingkar in the second n somaiya in the third so that i have new options to fill in every round?

also.. if i dont get thru in these 4 colleges in the first round, will i still be considered automatically in these 4 colleges in the next (second) round, or will i be considered only for the new preferences that i give in the second round?
can i keep giving the same preferences in all the 3 rounds?

also.. 9th july 5 pm is the deadline for filling in options in CAP round 1 na?

Can u please guide me whether my order of preference is proper as per the college rank...Also, can u also suggest the changes i shud make or add any othr college which i hv missed..
My 1st pref will be decent college from mumbai..If i hv 2 make a choice btw 3rd grade collge and decent college from pune than i will go for pune..I stay at thane..

Can any one tell me that after getting admission one of the MBA college what is the procedure to select the prefered branch i.e Finance, Marketing...?

Do all the MBA colleges have all the departments viz Finance, Marketing, System, HR, IT.

yeah u r right there r 2 courses MMS n PG.....there r different codes for both

MMS - 311
PG - 338

so, yes u hv to fill 2 DIFFERENT options in the option form for these courses....

just click the interactive mode on the site

select university n tick the colleges u want to apply to frm that particular university, add the options, select another university, repeat process till u get all colleges of ur choice.....u dont even need to know the codes in the interactive mode......

According to me, your rank is more important as the colleges are alloted on the basis of the merit ranks..

Don't worry, you would receive ur scorecard in a few days. In the meanwhile you can call up the DTE office. Also, if at the time of admission you do not get the scorecard, you can take an attested printout of the scorecard that appears on the website..Cheers

1) Since you have completed your graduation from university other than mumbai, you need an eligibiity certificate from University of Mumbai stating that you are eligible to undergo MMS course.
This is to verify that you have done your graduation from an affilated university and you can go for further studies.

2) GAP cetificate is for the students who have taken break from studies didnot work for any organization during that time.

3) The performa for the GAP certificate should be given in your brochure and should also be available over DTE's website, you will have to check this.
If not then call up DTE's helpdesk and request them to put GAP Certificate performa on the site.

At that all india rank, it is very difficult to speculate your chances. I would suggest that if you are willing, try next year and I am sure you would get a much better score...all the best..
