What was the last merit list no. that converted CM last year??

Some pointers for you :
1. dont plan to come to colg on 23.03.12 for completing the formalities as the admission dept will be closed most probably because of gudi parwa.
2. the placement report will be out very soon.so all ur doubts will be clarified reg kind of profiles,cos,etc.

530 is my PGDM merit number any hopes of getting converted?

P.S. Got selected for Banking Management, but waitlisted for MBA(Core) at Merit List 645

as we had mentioned earlier also,no one is aware abt how they calculate the scores...but pls dont worry,NM follows a just policy and feel cheated.

Seniors can you pl. throw sonme light on the marking procedure this tym around.. i had heard that NM score would count for 70%.. 10th 12th cg wld be 10%.. work ex 5 and gdpi 15...
as per the bove,
score in nm= 211 X 70/360= 41.02...
score in 10th, 12th, cg= 93+83.6+77.6/30=8.4 ...

Yes! You need to come to Mumbai

1.I think it'll be difficult to get a loan in the short span of time. (Though I'm not very sure of this part). You can probably pay the fees first and get a SBI Scholar loan later(This loan doesn't ask you for a collateral)
2.Hostel facility is provided by NMIMS but not a mandatory one. Hence ...

Can't we send the doc by courier?? Do we need to go to Mumbai ??:sneaky:

In 2010, MBA Core waitlist moved till the rank of 490~500 ( for 255 seats- The rest 45 were MQ seats which was scrapped last year)
In 2011, it moved till 660~670..
I'm not sure about the figues of Banking & Capital Markets..

Jus a confirmation....: is this MBA similar to MBA core?....jus m a lil nrvous....

Can any senior please explain how marks has been calculated....because according to method of last year....the first cut-off list of core was at around 61 marks.......how come around 54 this time altho same weightage told to us....................? Can any senior please explain........

I am thinking of arranging a loan from a bamk in mumbai. does NMIMS has a tie up with any bank which can arrange loan before 28 march.
what is the quality of the accommodation provided at NMIMS. i heard that many people choose to stay outside.
where i can find the sample format of the docum...

1) Rs. 1000 is deducted from the fees upto one week of official beginning
2) The official placement report has not been released yet, so you will have to wait for the figures.

Senior..plz clear our doubt abt merit lists..i saw ppl wit rank in 700 waitlistd for bangalore/hyderabad campus...if d total seats in them r just 180..hwcum a person wit rank in 700 b waitlistd..?

yeah u r ri8.. bt if they are waitlisted who have more than 208 thn they might take admission.. cnt say anythn.. figures crosss......

376 n waitlisted.. thn i think at 725 my chances are very low of conversion..

You won't have to pay the fees for Capital Markets if you want admission only in Core.

No wait listed for bangalore

i think the merit list includes those who have more than 208 and were shortlisted for main campus for diffrent programmes and i guess they wont be taking admission ....

what is the link to see the result for final conversion..????those who has got it please post it here.........

Not sure about the kind of movement we will see this year, so keep your fingers crossed, you might well convert in the later lists.

Why does NM insist on frivolous expenses ?
Why do they insist that we travel all the way to mumbai just to submit the documents and the fee ?
Don't get me wrong, I'm delighted by my convert. But why oh why do I have to waste 8k to travel to mumbai when a 30 bucks courier could do the job ?

1) What is the refund policy on the initial 5.16 lakh initial deposit if one chooses later not to join??
2) What was the av. package the 2010-12 MBA Core batch??

There is something called as buffer calls, every year although we have only 300 seats, converts are given uptill a certain higher rank. Also some higher ranked students may have put their first choice as some other field. Hope that clears your doubt.

seniors please tell me what chance do I stand to get MBA core? I had read in some of the earlier posts that the list moves till 650. And now with new IIMs, it should be a bit more.

There will be some people in the merit list for other courses apart from core as well.
So that way u are selected at merit 425 too
