Powai is quite far from Vile Parle.

First of all Powai doesn't have a very good train connectivity.

JB nagar is quite far from college. Its in andheri E which is like half hour from college..

PS :: We talk distance in minutes in Mumbai. So can't give you clarity in terms of Km's. Might be 4-5 Km's

When I visited NM to pay the fee, I spoke to few seniors(girls) who said that the hostel pretty much sucks, and its better to get accomodation outside.

There are 2 hostels for girls. One is Bansali (i think?), which would cost you around 20k per month including food. Its close to the campus, but 3 ppl share one room/dorm area. Not recommended if you need sm sleep after a long day, and yes, there is a curfew affecting project work.

The other one..MKM i think..is a little far from the campus. Better facilities, 2 ppl sharing a room, well furnished etc. Slightly more expensive than Bansali. Commute can be a problem. Also, these hostels are not exclusivley for MBA students, so you might not find many batchmates, which defeats the purpose of being in a hostel for most of us.

The few seniors who did opt for the hostel in the first year are itching to get out.

I could be wrong, the opinion I recvd might be biased. So any information will help.

With regards to my previous post, here are a few clarifications about queries I received from many of you..

1. I am a localite and staying in a flat in the same housing society wherein the said flats are located. These flats are separate from the one im staying in.

2. I am not a broker and hence No Brokerage..

3. There are no hidden terms and conditions. The monthly compensation is a straight 24k and all other things are free. Your effective monthly expense is only 24k plus electricity bill and cook's charges if you decide to opt for it.

4. Most important, the monthly compensation will start only from june and u can book the flat now without worrying about april and may rent.
